Classic from my point of view. Got bad once Vinnie left the show.

Total classic, especially for the drugs episode and "Three Dos and a Don't".

Dud for being on TV when I was young enough to be surrounded by peer group (including self) moronically chanting "Up your nose with a garden hose!" at every conceivable opportunity

Classic for phrase "Up your nose with a garden hose"

dave q, Monday, 6 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

it's "up your nose with a rubber hose", you limey.

fritz, Monday, 6 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

FUCK I JUST REMEMBERED THAT and you beat me to posting! Not fair, you probably have reruns on some channel or other over there!

Classic

"Freddy gimmee drugs....gimmee drugs..."

Juan Epstein - a Puerto Rican Jew.

Mr Woodman as a gangster.

"Hi there...Freddy "Boom Boom" Washington

(2 Canucks snipe over childhood memories on a thread about an American sitcom... how embarrassink... quick, um, talk about The Beachcombers, dude... I mean, EH?)

Bah bah bah bah Barbarino.

"Off my case pizza face."

Or was it "toilet face"?

I loved Debralee Scott--"Hotsie Totsie"--she was great on Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, too.

http://www.toshistation.com/images/kotter.gif Billy Dee Williams on Kotter, I never saw it?

Chris, Monday, 6 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

"OO-OO-OO, Mr. Kot-TER!"

Besides that and the theme song, I remember nothing about it -- and I recall seeing quite a few episodes. Then again, I can't exactly recall much about the collective plots of my other regular faves (Mork and Mindy, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, The Love Boat...)

Ned Raggett, Monday, 6 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I recall that Fantasy Island scared the shit out of me.

Chris, Monday, 6 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Anyone seen _Hey! There's Naked People On My TV!_ , which has a porn parody of Welcome Back? I've been curious about it ever since reading about it on unknownmovies.com.

three weeks pass...
whatever happened to Gabe Kaplan, anyway?

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Wednesday, 29 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

four years pass...
this show's on at 3:30AM in the morning on channel 11 in NYC nowadays (which says something about my recent fucked-up schedule, but whatevah). just saw the one where arnold joined a cult and adopted a cult name of abu abdul something -- with all of the culties in the courtyard chanting "ABU COME! ABU COME!!"

classic!

Jesus, I knew when this thread was bumped there'd be a RIP post, just glad it's not Gabe

by the way, Kaplan's book where he messes around with various people via e-mail (especially television producers and advertisers) is amazing. dunno if he's on twitter but he would be amazing there.
