The words "pasty sauce" made me a little nauseous; I am serious.

I think I need to eat something.

Jufran, Filipino banana ketchup is the best. Especially with fried eggs and garlic rice.

dsb, Thursday, 19 July 2012 19:56 (thirteen years ago)

it sounds horrible but maybe I am juts eboing closed minded

The Cheerfull Turtle (Latham Green), Thursday, 19 July 2012 19:58 (thirteen years ago)

it does doesn't it? no really it doesn't taste much like bananas, just more spicey and tangy then regular ketchup...

dsb, Thursday, 19 July 2012 20:00 (thirteen years ago)

maybe you should reccomend that and win money to Lays - they are having a chip flavour contect

The Cheerfull Turtle (Latham Green), Thursday, 19 July 2012 20:01 (thirteen years ago)

there was banana ketchup in a submarine on man vs food which had me wishing I knew where to get it from.

come across pomegranate ketchup too.
I think ketchup did start off having a wider array of fruit flavours and possibly only got narrowed down in most people's minds by the success of the heinz stuff

Stevolende, Thursday, 19 July 2012 20:02 (thirteen years ago)

why the fuck is the banana sauce red

The Cheerfull Turtle (Latham Green), Thursday, 19 July 2012 20:03 (thirteen years ago)

Good question, i was thinking maybe it contained tomatoes too, but i looked it up and it doesnt. so food coloring it is. its good though really...

I like the Heinz ketchup with Indian spices. I'd have thought the difference was mild enough for it to be, at least, inoffensive.

This stuff is great:

The Cheerfull Turtle (Latham Green), Thursday, 19 July 2012 20:16 (thirteen years ago)

Ha! Looks like it, doesn't it? I think that's the Baron.

I am frightened by the "Baron" - he looks cold and not inviting like Papa Gino

The Heinz w/ Indian spices is too mild, kinda tasted off or something to me. I end up putting chilli w/ almost everything so I was a little disappointed in that.

mmmm, Thursday, 19 July 2012 20:36 (thirteen years ago)

ten years pass...

I miss that Papa Gino's logo
