Car 1: semi-tricked out Honda lowrider, chains on the front wheels

Went out and helped push, driver was v. mildly douchey, hit the gas too much but took my advice and took a light touch, 3 other neighbors helping, got him on his way quickly.

Car 2: nondescript Ford thing (Tempo?), v. loose front wheel chains

Benefited from leftover pushing group from Car 1, didn't seem phased when I told him that the chains would FUCKING EXPLODE if he kept gunning it, said chains threw sparks when they hit the pavement, got him out anyway, made no attempt to thank anyone.

Car 3: mini-SUV, no chains

Had about 8 people (4 passengers, 4 neighbors) pushing, biggest problem was confusion about which way to steer and people finding a spot to push. Driver was Russian/Eastern European dude, local, but not one of the guys who helped push me the other night. Sorted in a few minutes, gave *perfect* thumbs up while driving away.

Car 4: Ford Focus, no chains

Just me and the Uncle, not very stuck, took about a minute, yelled "God Bless You!" out the window.

Car 5: Didn't get a good look, sounded like some chains.

Had one shoe on, heard him scream something about a fag/fags, took the shoes back off.

Let this be a lesson: hide your bigotry when stuck in the snow.

Car 6: Eighties Japanese sport hatchback, no chains

Not stuck for very long, shaggy-haired dude & lady in an Xterra had them going before I could get my pants out of the dryer

The *perfect* thumbs-up is hard to come by in these troubled times of ours

Uncles got the same thing going on (they got a dog/one carries around autistic kids at work so I don't give them shit), and it got me maybe a block when I was trying to make a beer run the other night.

Got stuck twice on my street this afternoon. Luckily, my car is tiny so we merely lifted it out of its rut.

Every single guest at my neighbor's Xmas party got stuck on the way out.

Car 7 Special "A Look Back" Edition: SNOW PLOW. Amazingly, no chains.

Stuck for about 20 minutes, wasn't about to fuck with that noise, a combination of gravel from the back of the truck bed and tenacity got him out. Would have been fine if he was actually plowing our street instead of just passing through.

Car 8: Jeep, no chains

Not really stuck at all, just stalled for a bit, but jesus just because you have all wheel drive doesn't mean you have to tear through the neighborhood like a fucking dick.

Lady cati-corner from me, looking out the window disapprovingly: Keep up the good fight.

Close to the 122nd MAX stop, right off Burnside.

Car 9: Impala, no chains

Most gratifying of the night, lives two houses down, pushed all by my lonesome, offered her our parking spot, said "Thanks, neighbor! Happy Holidays to you too!"

Car 10: Brand new Toyota Camry, pristine condition, no chains

Driver in a suit and tie, doctory lookin' guy in his 40's, asked someone for a shovel in a really awful "I am associating with the rabble" voice.
