The second post, however, was exactly what everyone thought it would be.

I've had sex with several girls I've met through the net, but I've met them all through dating sites (OKCupid and a local one), so I guess that's not a big surpise. I really, really doubt the ratio of female to male Internet users is as low 1 to 10 then these days. I don't know what date site the statistics were referring to, but in general I've noticed many (straight) girls seem to stay away from date sites because there are often lots of creeps there, so maybe many women find partners online through other, less conspicuous means?
