I've become addicted to buns filled with this strange stuff called taro paste, it's kinda sweet, and gooey, witha purple colour to it, what ever it is num, and only costs 8 baht for a bun (about 12pence) and will be the ideal food to keep me alive on my overnight train journey tonight.

so, anyway, what the hell is it??????

Without this stuff the All Blacks would be worse than even England. Its what made Jonha Lomu the man he is today.

cor that's odd Chris cos the other say Sarah and i were looking for nummy things to buy in Chinatown and she saw some PURPLE NOODLES that were flavoured with "taro". and we wondered what it was but she bought them anyway cos she's such a culinary pioneer, and then in the next shop we saw huge lumps of the stuff... looks like a big white swede with a slightly mauvish tinge. however i wussed out and didn't buy one though i did buy some nori and mirin for sushi experiments which rickyT, tom, alang and pTee were most appreciative of WERENT YOU BOYS? ;)
