Yes, radio has been interrupted with news about that second one all day here in belgium. One adult and three toddlers dead, at the moment, a dozen wounded. Horrible. (That model story too, of course, obv.)

The attacker entered the day care center in Dendermonde...and began stabbing children and staff.

Reports said he was trying to make his escape on a bicycle

...the attacker's face was painted black and white.

Witnesses say he looked calm...

AFP reported that the man was not known to staff at the nursery.

^^^Every detail of this is either totally horrific, o_O, or both. According to the linked video, the first thing he did was march in and stab a baby to death. GOOD MORNING

Latest news is that the guy is 28, very very skinny, his hair was (painted?) red and his eyes were painted black (metal corpsepaint style?) - not clear if he was on leave from a psychiatric institution or if he escaped there, but he apparently had some psychiatric history and he was also known to police from older crimes (?). Apprehended as he was calmly riding his bike back to his own village. (face paint must have given him away)

Oh, and now police DON'T know him, he had no identification and he's refusing to say who he is. (I'm not sure what part of all of this is actually really true anymore, every news paper and TV station has different rumors at the moment)

Journalists also immediately tend to mention that Scream mask when they hear anything about black eyes and white faces but they don't have any real info yet :-(

The news on the stabbing in Belgium (number of deaths, details) has been changing all day. Best to wait till tonight I guess. The description of the scene by an eye witness was gruesome. Stuff of nightmares indeed.

I was hoping this would be about something slightly less nightmarish, like that ubiquitous internet ad about losing belly fat that keeps shoving some poor lady's belly in the sidebar of every website I visit.

Yeah I know that me as thread starter often signals light-hearted comedy venting but the 1-2 punch of the two stories I linked really bummed me out today.

Djeez. Baby killer dude is now the main suspect in the unsolved stabbing murder case of a middle aged (73y) woman in her home a couple of weeks ago - his dna matches the murder scene, it appears.
