since when is chris matthews a liberal?!?

Ein kluges Äpfelchen (Eisbaer), Friday, 23 January 2009 20:01 (seventeen years ago)

Markos Moulitsas Zuniga: Hoping the day will soon come when this guy won't be on any kind of list other than a "Whatever happened to..." list.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 23 January 2009 20:02 (seventeen years ago)

"since when is chris matthews a liberal?!?"

He's not even the most egregious non-liberal on the list (Andrew Sullivan??!??!)

Alex in SF, Friday, 23 January 2009 20:02 (seventeen years ago)

yeah, him too ... unless forbes's thinking is, "he's gay so he MUST be a liberal"

Ein kluges Äpfelchen (Eisbaer), Friday, 23 January 2009 20:03 (seventeen years ago)

Is Thomas Friedman the worst human being on this list?

Dan I., Friday, 23 January 2009 20:14 (seventeen years ago)

Uh, aren't actually politicians prolly more influential than any of these people?

If Timi Yuro would be still alive, most other singers could shut up, Friday, 23 January 2009 20:16 (seventeen years ago)

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Friday, 23 January 2009 20:17 (seventeen years ago)

funny that i've never even heard of this "David Shipley" character, esp. since my middle name is David

some dude, Friday, 23 January 2009 20:24 (seventeen years ago)

Gee, I was under the (apparently mistaken) impression that a liberal was just elected President. Silly me.

Bill Magill, Friday, 23 January 2009 21:31 (seventeen years ago)

Andrew Sullivan is maybe the most wtf of these.

31g, Saturday, 24 January 2009 03:20 (seventeen years ago)

Oh sorry, didn't see that was already mentioned.

31g, Saturday, 24 January 2009 03:21 (seventeen years ago)

20 sorta known writers/bloggers and 5 tv personalities who have supported obama = influential liberals

Lucian, this guy with diamonds (m bison), Saturday, 24 January 2009 04:24 (seventeen years ago)

Where's Melinda Gates in this picture?

Aimless, Saturday, 24 January 2009 04:37 (seventeen years ago)

collardio gelatinous, Saturday, 24 January 2009 04:42 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah, I call bullshit on this list. Or didn't I already?

If Timi Yuro would be still alive, most other singers could shut up, Saturday, 24 January 2009 04:47 (seventeen years ago)

Galbraith still hangin around, as well.

collardio gelatinous, Saturday, 24 January 2009 04:48 (seventeen years ago)

I actually think THE single most influential media liberal (since that's what the list is, right?) is the entire Sesame Street cast. Talk about early imprinting.

collardio gelatinous, Saturday, 24 January 2009 04:50 (seventeen years ago)

I doubt any liberal is going to claim Hitchens as one of their own.

Dr More BS (libcrypt), Saturday, 24 January 2009 04:52 (seventeen years ago)

yeah, he falls into the penumbra, along with bill maher

collardio gelatinous, Saturday, 24 January 2009 04:54 (seventeen years ago)

i WISH paul krugman was the most influential liberal in the US.

Ein kluges Äpfelchen (Eisbaer), Wednesday, 4 February 2009 00:06 (seventeen years ago)

Who voted Friedman or Matthews?

Alex in SF, Wednesday, 4 February 2009 00:12 (seventeen years ago)

or maureen dowd, for that matter ...

Ein kluges Äpfelchen (Eisbaer), Wednesday, 4 February 2009 00:15 (seventeen years ago)

i mean, i suppose that dowd is liberal to the extent that she has any discernible political views. but no-one reads her columns for policy analysis or insight (God help anyone who does) -- she's just the Perez Hilton of the political chattering classes (which is a sort of influence, i suppose, but does anyone really stay up nights fretting over ANYTHING maureen dowd has to say?)

Ein kluges Äpfelchen (Eisbaer), Wednesday, 4 February 2009 00:18 (seventeen years ago)

voted for greenwald -- the guy is a national treasure.
