Emma, Wednesday, 15 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

[oh no! emma's worked out what her secret birthday present is. abort abort! run for your lives, ect]

Alan Trewartha, Wednesday, 15 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I think there is a complex conspiracy going on whereby everyone is trying to make me think I am going to get the WORST PRESENT EVER so that the presents I do actually get will be such a relief that I will appreciate them more.

Emma, Wednesday, 15 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ahem

Game Cube is on my list of fings to buy with next wage. Blockbusters are doing a deal where you get Cube, game (inc. Rogue Leader! Yeah!) extra controller, memory card, stand (rub!) and some other tat for 185 knicker. SOunds good to this boy. Anyone heard better? Can't wait to get Sonic Advance for my GBA and Sonic Battle for my cube and start training my little fellahs up. Monkey Ball = CLASSICK. Luigi's Mansion = Rub.

Talking about GBA's, anyone been playing Advance Wars. AWESOME. Can't beat The Final Battle in campaign mode though, despite reading hints and tips files.

"Rub"? What on Earth are you rubbing?

geeta, Wednesday, 15 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I've got advance war and yeah, it rocks, but it got kind of forgotten when I got tony hawk's 3, which is absolutely fantastic!

may well get a gamecube when I get back, especially if I come back in June instead of July.

^^^^^^^ word on the TH3......the Gamecube version seems to play much smoother than the rest......Gamecube has the best controller, snug and instantly familiar.......XBox controllor is a monster, big mistake, you are sweaty within minutes......when you played Street Fighter 2 for too long, your ass crack got clammy, remember that shit everyone?

Ramosi, Thursday, 16 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

one month passes...
I remember that shit, Ramosi - an' you got that big ol' sweaty filtrum... ewww. Got me a Gamecube - sexy piece of machinery. Svelt, purple, Pikmin will have you in awe. Awe. Koji Kondo is a genius; Shigeru Miyamoto is a genius. Alan I love you, for letting me say this without having to start my own dying thread. New fucking answers.

I'll talk about games, but I'm still stuck on Sega Tennis 2K2 on Dreamcast. Why is it so easy to become a doubles specialist on that game?

Dan Perry, Monday, 1 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I have Ocarina of Time, David! It was a pretty fun game, but I think the SNES one remains the crowning achievement in this series. (haven't played the GBA ones tho)
