We also watched the European Cup which was mildly entertaining and then on the way home we found a massive Christian Solidarity Poster and thought about funny things we could do to it before leaving it on the Fine Gael TDs doorstep. We don't usually go in for petty thuggery, honestly.

Last night out...start of the month, I think. Does hanging around in line for A Certain Movie tonight count? If not, then next time will be Wednesday.

Well they're not hippies and it's the after-wedding party that's on the beach, but yes. I was hoping to network myself into a ride down there, since everyone I know is going to the wedding and will already be down in the Santa Cruz area already. I wasn't able to meet anyone; even some guy who said he hadn't spoken to the groom-to-be in over a year was going, which makes me wonder why I wasn't. Since almost all my friends in San Francisco will be there, it will look very very bad if I don't show up, but short of taking a train down there (I'm assuming I can take a train), and then hoping someone can pick me up from there (it's not in Santa Cruz, only a small town near there, and a cab would cost a fortune), I'm not sure how I'm going to make it. A girl I'm acquainted with is supposedly in the same boat, so maybe we can rent a car together (I can't on my own since I don't have a driver's license)... if not my name will be mud. But it's not my fault! *cries*

The day before that (Saturday, for the calendar-impaired) I was out with some of my oldest friends 'because' (excuse as much as reason) a friend was visiting from the wild frozen wastes up North (technically: Sheffield). We went to a pub called The Blue Posts off Oxford Street and I wound up a Spurs fan - I did some of that last night, with someone I firmly believe to have been the Pinefox. The Pinefox, in contrast to the other Spurs fan, did not seem ready to explode and stab someone at any second, though obv you never know, he seemed so quiet, etc., etc., so I didn't bother continuing the wind- up.
Tonight I had a date. A very nice woman who works with Sir Richard Rogers, one of my favourite architects of all time (I only found this out at the end of tonight's meeting - it wasn't why I went out with her). We had made contact through a cyberdating site, and this was our first real meeting. We separated at 8pm, but she does have a 7am flight to Venice tomorrow, so that may not be terribly significant.

Wednesday night - after helping set up a Grand Final for a law mooting competition, went to the after-final drinks at a place called Phoenix (nice seventies motif), which doubled as my birthday drinks as my two charming friends/colleagues Catherine and Anna bought me about six rounds of cocksucking cowboys and quickfucks. Stumbled home at 4pm, was back at uni for a meeting by nine.

But: you did mooting in high school? How did you manage that? Or was it different to the strict skillz0r basis (eg. law) of the mooting I know/love?

Tim - mooting was a yearly thing in high school, run by bond uni - a team of three (queens, junior and ass clerk) would argue against each other in front of three judges. there were rounds of it, and eventually the finals at obnd uni each year. We never made the finals, but I have ridiculous memories of a law camp run for young students and staying in the hotel at bond, escaping the unsupervised conference and heading to the beach, then returning to the hotel with 4 bottels of scotch and passion pop and somehow finding myself later that night in the bond lakes looking for the body of a hotel mate who'd disappeared, except she wasn't dead, but in the bathroom trying to drown herself later on as Bette Middler sung the Rose.

My last proper night out (not counting bowling & pizza on Saturday which doesn't count as we were back at Steve's by 9:30) I came back from with a badge saying 'I Love Golden Showers'. I am never going to a gay club again, I was wondering why the men in McDonalds were sniggering at me then got home & realised the badge had sneaked out from under my belt.

Dude, I do, just not at that bar. That's more of a "beer and chicken fingers bar" if you get what I mean. And his name is Jeremiah, I've decided. It's not really but it's as good as any other "J" name now innit?
And I am soooo pissed off at you, you tell me this lame ass story about how no one is coming to the party because of this one dude and it's going to suck blah blah blah, and in reality it's enormous and full of transvestites? What the fuck? If I knew about that, I would've totally come, weird non-stop month long puking or not. Drag queens love me, and I love them. We would've had the best night ever. I had on the best outfit too, and then I had to go puke all over the place, I was really annoyed, but if I knew about this whole enormous-drag-queen-crazy-people-rave-extravaganza going on, I would've puked in the cab on my way down, jesus.
Pffff, that's me trusting your judgement ever again! When you say a place is gonna be really great, it sucks or is closed. When you say it's gonna be empty and crap, it's great. I AM DEFINITELY COMING TO THE NEXT PARTY YOU KNOW. Oh, does Stephanie still live downstairs with the crazy goth girl? I wonder if her internet boyfriend still lives with her there.

AND THEY DID IT IN MY HOUSE WHILE I WAS IN AMHERST, ARRRRGH. If I knew they had done in my couch like that prior to doing it myself, I'd have gotten rid of the bloody thing. And don't get me started on that crazy ass waiter she was seeing who left long voicemails singing "Light My Fire" and telling her she belonged to him, and he was sick of her crazy games, "little girl" - after two freaking dates. And there's always the time she let my stalker in the house...I mean of course I ended up sleeping with him but then we ditched him the next morning.
