Another One Bites the Dust

So last night I had my *fourth* date with Steve, which happened to be his and his roommate's house-warming party. So since he's hosting a party, I hardly expect him to give me 100% of his attention... far from it. What I didn't expect was a kiss hello and then for him to ignore me the rest of the evening. I mean, he came by and smiled a couple times, but he didn't introduce me to his friends, include me in conversations, nothing. Even when I went over and said words to that effect, his response was he'd be right over to hang out with me, and then just went on talking to everyone but me. I had an ok time, tons of cute boys (wish I'd been crass enough to hand out my number), but the fact remains Steve completely ignored me all night. For better or worse, I told a friend of his how I felt, and it got back to Steve... this later apparantly tipped the scales into him saying that I was obviously insecure and not the kind of person he wanted to be with, etc. He's formal and bit cold; not the kind of person I imagine dating long-term either, so it's ok. But I hated it to end this way, and am still convinced that while maybe I shouldn't have blabbed about it to his friend, he was completely in the wrong for inviting me to the party as his date and then abandoning me. Disagree?

Just "formal and a bit cold", Sean? He sounds like an inconsiderate creep to me. Good riddance I say.

Aaaw, Sean, I think you've answered your own question. Hope you don't feel too down, and a cutie like you isn't exactly going to have to wait too long for the right chap to come along :-)
