Oh Tom I thought it was a private thing between you & me, *sob*

Emma, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That Lil' Kim track sounds well rude.

Answering Machine is a beautiful fantastic brilliant track indeed. Mr Velvet is a funny funny man and I had not laughed listening to music for a long time. The X-Press 2 remix is nice also.

Ronan, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I heart that Cola Boy song, it's ace.

chris, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

The Lil Kim song is SO RUDE I blushed when I was listening to it. Oh guess what Ronan my mate gave me the X-Press 2 album for my birthday FEEL THE VIBE.

Emma, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It is surely too indie dancepop for Tom (cf. Don't Falter)?

N., Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I was going on the put-stuff-the-recipient-might-like rule, Nick. I think it's OK though.

I had forgotten how filthy that Li'l Kim track was! I just saw it on my MP3s list and thought oh yeah, Emma likes Eve so she might like Kim and it sounds a bit like that Brandy track too, and then on playback I remembered. I'd never have put it on a CD for a 19-year- old, in retrospect.

Tom, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I can't believe Liberty X are number one!

jel --, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Since when has Lil Kim been indie dancepop? Unless you mean Cola Boy and I didn't reckon that one much anyway. And it is not FOR Tom it is FOR me.

Emma, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

X-Press 2 is the most feel the vibe album of the year. It all sounds like a million other cheesey tracks but that's why it's great. Especially the one that's about number 8 with the man singing "Live your life, free your mind" and all sorts of other rubbish lyrics.

Ronan, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Oi Jel Liberty X are great! Tom I just assumed you included Lil Kim cos you think I am a pervertalist heh heh and I was quite flattered.

Emma, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It's just that I thought "Doin' It" was a much better single!

jel --, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It certainly starts well - those first two tracks are terrific.

I can't believe the Visage song is just (apparently) the Visage song. Why isn't it mixed with "Can We Fix It?" or somesuch hilarity?

Michael Jones, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I suspect it was a joke about ageing. However despite spending all day yesterday searching, all my hairs are still brown / dyed blonde.

Emma, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ha ha no it wasn't a joke about ageing, do not overestimate my powers of humour. I'd downloaded it the other day and remembered it was a good pop-song and thought Emma might like the sophisticated Euro-bird voices on it.

Tom, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Indeed, I aspire to be a sophisticated Euro-bird. Bye bye Raw London Edge, hello sophisticated Euro edge.

Emma, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That is the coolest mix cd not by me ever (ie. it's as close to something I would make as I've ever seen by 3rd party. Tru Faith & Dub Conspiracy!!!). I hope Emma likes it because that would mean she rocks.

There really should be some sort of mix-cd swapping facility with ILX.

Tim, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That might be a result of 3 of the songs being MP3s I got off you Tim! (Thanks also to the good ppl at gabba.net!)

Tom, Monday, 20 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Well I gave it 9/10 so I guess I rock 90%. Which is pretty good going for someone of my advanced years.
