Dear StanM,

I am really mad at you for posting that link. Of course I had to look and am now traumatized. :-(

Sincerely,

Dear StanM

What Erica said.

I am not going to look at the link. I am already sufficiently immersed in trauma. The trauma that is DISNEY/MICKEY MOUSE CLOTHING WORN IRONICALLY.

Dara Danglemore caught my attention when she was wearing shorts one day and her extra-long trouser snake came out to greet me. I was in love with her dick at first sight. It's hard to believe a girl with such a sweet, innocent face would have such a lengthy, dangling serpent.

21. kombucha - the fact that people grow it in their homes and give it to each other reminds me too much of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and it creeps me out.

It's ok Stan. I'm sure I'll get over it with time. And therapy. ;-)

Too Into Dancing to Argue (ENBB), Sunday, 8 March 2009 19:04 (sixteen years ago)

ian, even when I was a child I thought anything other than the bog-standard grey marl Mickey t-shirt was childish in the extreme. Also I love Warner Bros cartoons - when I didn't want to say what brand of something I had on, the answer was always ACME - but on my television and that is it.

Also hating: those plaid shirts (turquoise/black, AmAp I think?) that look exactly like '80s Limited Express rags for under your FORENZA sweater. Gross then, gross now - or worn by incredibly boring people most of the time.

We Need To Talk About Kevin Smith (suzy), Sunday, 8 March 2009 19:15 (sixteen years ago)

xp to caek: i was agreeing with you! that dark matter is creepy and weird and unlikable!

I'm trying to remember what they look like. Couldn't find one at AmAp site, but I did discover a "mustache mask" in the new styles section.

Pearl snap shirts

This is probably just a Texas thing but I can't throw a MGMT 12" without hitting a dude with lol facial hair and a pearl snap shirt. I go to the vintage store or the Goodwill or the Salvation Army or w/e and there are 4 dudes in pearl snap shirts looking at the racks of pearl snap shirts and licking their lips.

been HOOS, where yyyou steene!? (BIG HOOS aka the steendriver), Sunday, 8 March 2009 23:58 (sixteen years ago)

Yeah, facial hair in general is getting pretty tiresome.

hence 'fake facial hair'

remy bean, Monday, 9 March 2009 03:43 (sixteen years ago)

oh, and the swishy dyed-black hair-in-front of eyes whatnot that the jonas brothers have made popular.

fucking asymmetrical bologna

1) Master and Margarita

― remy bean, Sunday, 8 March 2009 15:57 (Yesterday)

does it count as "hip" if it's been hip for at least 20 years (afaik)?

Maria, Monday, 9 March 2009 03:59 (sixteen years ago)

not liking stuff you deem hip but for no specific reason prob means you're in some weird desperate bleakitude

20? "Sympathy for the Devil"?

kenan, Monday, 9 March 2009 04:22 (sixteen years ago)

Besides, it's not hip, it's just a good book to have in your brain. Maybe some hip people are reading it suddenly. I don't know.

kenan, Monday, 9 March 2009 04:28 (sixteen years ago)

They are. And what's worse is that they're passing tattered copies of it around and air-mailing it to each other.

swedes put dill on fields of salmon (fields of salmon), Monday, 9 March 2009 04:37 (sixteen years ago)

god forbid people read books. for serious.

ian, Monday, 9 March 2009 04:38 (sixteen years ago)

master and margarita is hip now? huh, i had no idea. what prompted this?

the pelvis of a mammoth (get bent), Monday, 9 March 2009 05:50 (sixteen years ago)

It's a long story, but it's all because of white belts.

kenan, Monday, 9 March 2009 07:02 (sixteen years ago)

oh, and the swishy dyed-black hair-in-front of eyes whatnot that the jonas brothers have made popular.

As opposed to the swishy dyed-black hair-in-front of eyes whatnot that was popular back in the 80s? I was a total failure at this hairstyle in the 80s, my eyes would just get itchy from having my hair in front of them, and I gave up soon after.

what happened? I'm confused. (sarahel), Monday, 9 March 2009 08:06 (sixteen years ago)
