laceychabertfan@aol.com (dell), Thursday, 12 March 2009 18:45 (sixteen years ago)

before 2011 someone is going to give me an extremely expensive european sportscar, which i will end up crashing in spectacular and bloody fashion. my destiny has been written

laceychabertfan@aol.com (dell), Thursday, 12 March 2009 18:46 (sixteen years ago)

food & drink by far. material gifts make me uncomfortable 'cause i'm trying to minimize the stuff in my life, and i'm getting kinda picky about the stuff i keep around.

Tracy Michael Jordan Catalano (Jordan), Thursday, 12 March 2009 18:49 (sixteen years ago)

comestibles, including drugs. My bro got me civet coffee at christmas. It was good.

Blackout Crew are the Beatles of donk (jim), Thursday, 12 March 2009 18:53 (sixteen years ago)

I voted sentimental. My mom always tries to buy me a bunch of clothes for Christmas, half of which she has to end up returning anyway, but this year she also gave me a bunch of old photos from when I was a kid. That was cool. Also, a few years ago for my 26th birthday, a friend of mine bought a tiny notebook and filled it with a list of 26 things she liked about me. Each one was on its own page and was accompanied by little doodles. One of the best gifts I've ever received.

Bianca Jagger (jaymc), Thursday, 12 March 2009 18:53 (sixteen years ago)

wait, what is head?

Surmounter, Thursday, 12 March 2009 18:54 (sixteen years ago)

Oh, you poor thing.

Bianca Jagger (jaymc), Thursday, 12 March 2009 18:55 (sixteen years ago)

I honestly prefer giving gifts to receiving them.

NYSE:JAH (get bent), Thursday, 12 March 2009 18:56 (sixteen years ago)

Surmounter, Thursday, 12 March 2009 18:56 (sixteen years ago)

i thought it was like a gift for your mind

Surmounter, Thursday, 12 March 2009 18:57 (sixteen years ago)

It is, kind of.

laceychabertfan@aol.com (dell), Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:01 (sixteen years ago)

best two joint presents:
a art book from my favourite artist that is signed and way, waaaay out of my price range + the power point slideshow put together by the gift giver to elaborately reveal the gift (since the book was a pre-order and not available for what turned out to be about 10 months).

2nd best gift:
a custom designed and handmade journal, styled like a really old book. absolutely beautiful, but... too beautiful to do anything with! couldn't bear to soil its pages with my writing so i use it as a sort of photo album.

just1n3, Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:12 (sixteen years ago)

*an art book

just1n3, Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:12 (sixteen years ago)

wow!

...y'know, i think it would be good if more events in everyday life were conducted as powerpoint presentations or semi-formal multimedia presentations of some sort.

the gift of BLOWJOBS

GLEEPGLOP BLOOPBLORP (nickalicious), Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:33 (sixteen years ago)

oh whoops...I was so excited to post that I didn't realize someone had already said it.

GLEEPGLOP BLOOPBLORP (nickalicious), Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:34 (sixteen years ago)

seriously one of the nicest gifts i've gotten in ages (maybe ever!) was from just1n3 and ytth a few weeks ago! it was so thoughtful and touching, so i guess i'm going with sentimental.

yur twit (tehresa), Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:37 (sixteen years ago)

socks

Fox Force Five Punchline (sexyDancer), Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:41 (sixteen years ago)

Some of the best gifts I've gotten recently were both practical and sentimental - things that I had good use for (a dashboard compass, a bike tire patch kit) that I hadn't really thought to buy for myself...the gift giver I guess knows my life better than I do.

GLEEPGLOP BLOOPBLORP (nickalicious), Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:46 (sixteen years ago)

i think he meant the tender liver of a newborn babe

lil butt (harbl), Thursday, 12 March 2009 21:13 (sixteen years ago)

I chose Fun Things because pretty much everything I want is either a CD, DVD, book, or musical gear.

I like money gifts too, but I'd probably just turn around and spend it on fun things or paying off my bills.

head should count as a "fun thing".

The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Friday, 20 March 2009 00:05 (sixteen years ago)

where does "lemurs" fit in poll?

can't believe more people don't want fun times.

ledge, Friday, 20 March 2009 09:43 (sixteen years ago)

I suppose if you trained the lemurs it could fall under 'services' or 'practical things'

salsa shark, Friday, 20 March 2009 10:40 (sixteen years ago)

"head should count as a "fun thing"."

If the head you're getting is just "fun", you should get some better head.
