http://vividtribe.com/images/playsilks/royalBluePS.jpg
that's kind of a light royal

Surmounter, Thursday, 12 March 2009 14:38 (sixteen years ago)

i'm annoyed b/c gmail doesn't have a fuschia preset for any formatting. it's like, what? who doesn't have a hot pink option?

if it had been darker, namely purple, you'd be labeled depressed by the colour psychologists. heeheeh
i made a ton of baby stuff in purple last year. my husband told me to quit and do something else.
was i expressing sth through my choice of knitware?

i don't have a favourite colour btw. i guess in knitting i quite like dark colours. like dark greens.
in photos, i love bw

i've been getting more into yellow/gold lately. if i'm not mistaken, in traditional chinese medicine, yellow is a healing color

purple is good too. yeah...

laceychabertfan@aol.com (dell), Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:09 (sixteen years ago)

yellow and purple is nice. or purple and bright green

Surmounter, Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:10 (sixteen years ago)

a lot of my friends favor green which is kind of boring to me

Surmounter, Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:10 (sixteen years ago)

one can't go wrong with grimace purple. all-purpose when indulging royalty vibes...weddings, funerals...all-occasion. all-fucking-occasion.

laceychabertfan@aol.com (dell), Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:11 (sixteen years ago)

i was wearing yellow and purple yesterday and felt like some crazy-ass lakers fan. or maybe just a crazy ass. god i love crazy asses.

laceychabertfan@aol.com (dell), Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:12 (sixteen years ago)

years ago someone summarized my clothing palette as consisting of mostly earth tones. i thought that was bullshit. for starters most days i'm wearing either "brilliant beige" or "kickass khaki" shades of lipstick

CaptainLorax, Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:23 (sixteen years ago)

CaptainLorax, Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:26 (sixteen years ago)

Surmounter, Thursday, 12 March 2009 19:49 (sixteen years ago)

Surmounter, Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:20 (sixteen years ago)

Surmounter, Wednesday, 27 May 2009 15:46 (sixteen years ago)

I've now painted 4 rooms from Rothko prints. The latest was the wine red in the center here:

http://whywhywhywhywhy.com/images/rothko4.jpg

I'm under no illusions that the painter was more spiritually attuned than others. Many people have hurt on canvas, and his variety just translates better. His slightly dried blood tones are the most moving, for me.

The exact color that results when you color extremely heavily on white butcher paper with a crayola cerulean crayon. Anything less than all of your 6-year-old strength, and bits of white can be seen, thus ruining the effect.
