There is a movie called American Gothic which used to make me PISS MY PANTS!. clap clap you got to see it... adult males dressed as kids, mummified babies. wooh. I like the painting, sombre, symbolic and austere the pitchfork was always a little menacing to me and then theres the happy lil dog in the background.

The movie has Rod Steiger in it and the site i looked it up on rated it D. worth a look if you like bgrade horror/suspense. My brain needs a vacuum I think I conflated the Jan van Eyk painting- that Woods painting references, superimposing a happy dog in there. oh well it works for me.
