actually killarney or somewhere would be v good, but maybe better with a friend or two. GREAT walks/nature around that area.

i highly recommend stockholm for long walks & beautiful sights--its also got a couple great museums (u might be into the vasa museet since its about "history" and i know ur a "history" major)--not a ton of partying but there are bars and stuff... everyone is really nice & speaks english too. good shopping if thats ur thing, too

downside: expensive--but probably not so much so what w/ the pound.

its pretty now but itll start getting insanely beautiful there in abt a month--also highly recommend gothenburg for more green, more students, generally more nightlifey things

also love: siena, lucca, other small-to-mid-sized tuscan cities, terrific walking, architecture, etc--probably already thronging w/ tourists by now but if you hopped 2 it you could avoid the worst

short list is currently:

somewhere with a beach and nothing else, though this is probably something i think would be good coz i've never done it. in reality perhaps im kidding myself and'd get bored.
