t**t, Friday, 20 March 2009 20:36 (sixteen years ago)

the exploitation-side - the fact that the public is sorta fascinated by looking at that dude being unemployed and ashamed

Unused newspaper racks clutter a storage yard in San Francisco, California on Friday, March 13, 2009. (AP Photo/Noah Berger) (edit: see edit note at top, these unused boxes were removed per city rules, not due to economic pressure) #

lol

That edit totally killed my erection.

^^^^ in a sense that only proves the point further - the ongoing hunt for the best misery-pictures right now is more important than pictures as a form of reporting

iatee, Friday, 20 March 2009 20:52 (sixteen years ago)

the arrows were pointing to ice cream, not to alex's erection

iatee, Friday, 20 March 2009 20:52 (sixteen years ago)

I was having trouble parsing your comment so it's good you clarified.

Alex in SF, Friday, 20 March 2009 20:54 (sixteen years ago)

I just hate that your erection had to get in-between me and ice cr?m

the newspaper racks aren't recession-related. SF banned newspaper boxes in favor of city-sanctioned racks that only have room for a few approved publications, thus all the rest had to go.
