pretentious and silly with writing that isn't half as clever as it thinks it is.

BUT

Ian McShane, Wes Studi, Dylan Baker, Miguel Ferrer, and BRIAN COX.

where did this come from? and who in their right mind thought this would be a hit?

Has there been anything broadcast since the 2-hr premiere?

The apology?

yeah, new episode last night.

No apologies, Ned. This is kind of great.

Nancy Franklin digs it

I hadn't really thought of Shiloh as a rebuilt New York City, indicating that this is our universe's future. Think she's wrong though.

i don't think it's the "future" so much as an alternative america. i only watched one episode -- the 2nd one -- and thought it was nice to see mcshane again, but it all seemed awfully silly.

Last night wasn't as awesome as the first two, but still pretty good. Funny that they put a "David and Goliath" painting on the palace walls - at first I thought it was a "Judith and Holofernes" but I guess they're not worried about being too on the nose. lolbiblicaldecapitations

I'm not too worried about what 'universe' this thing is in, though. Just keep giving McShane monologs, even if he's not delivering them to severed heads (omg!) or while getting blown.

this looks amazingly expensive.
any odds how long they can fund this? It seems like the pilot could have paid for the aborted Deadwood season.

Philip Nunez, Monday, 30 March 2009 17:49 (seventeen years ago)

seemed ok but the "david" character is a real drip

R.I.P.

Could have been really interesting. Might still be a worthwhile first season. What a ridiculous gambit the whole thing has been.

I saw the end of an episode a few weeks ago. The slickness of the show struck me as kind of surreal, with what seemed like a Sci-Fi (SyFy!) original series plot.
