How much does a pack of cigarettes cost in the US? In here it's between 3,50 and 5,50 Euros.

Tuomas, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 10:13 (sixteen years ago)

Theyre just cheaper range ones, but that is a 30 pack.

Oops xpost, saw Tuomas' as well.
So how much does a pack cost in the US? Here it's 4,5 euros per pack.

I more or less quit smoking. Have the occasional one but overall my body doesn't really take the nicotine anymore. Funny really. I still love lighting one up, but then the nicotine fucks with my body and I have to throw it away. I'm a quiter. ARGH!

The average right now is between about 3.00 USD and 7.00 USD, with the large metros (NYC, Chicago) being the ones to charge even more.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 16:49 (sixteen years ago)

i just buy loose tobacco and filters, and roll em. comes out to about...$3 packs?

Surmounter, Tuesday, 31 March 2009 16:50 (sixteen years ago)

Shit. I may have to start rolling, but I've said that before.

I'll almost certainly just keep smoking, but I may experiment w receiving cigs from other places as gifts.

Cutting down with the intent to eventually quit.

The Lost Boys Buff Guy Playing Sax (rockapads), Tuesday, 31 March 2009 17:39 (sixteen years ago)

my wife (who quit 2-3 years ago) is citing the price increase of evidence of how much she's saving, and therefore how much she should be able to spend on other things without me giving her shit. it's actually a kind of good argument...

I'll probably cut down and/or start ordering cartons online. Besides the cigarette tax increase, California sales tax is going up 1% - bringing sales tax in Alameda County up to almost 10%.
