It's an old question, I was just repeating it. I think the answer is that we dream in ideas, and if you can't remember whether your dream had color in it, that means the color was irrelevant.

For example, I had to swallow my pride a bit yesterday when a client insisted that the entire navigation bar at the top of every page be bright red. I argued that this is distracting, as that much red dominates every other element. You can see it from space. He was hearing none of it. That's what I mean by "more color than is required."
