Um, thanks imdb.
Isn't the premise all too similar to "Fatal Attraction"?
The short answer is yes, but let's not forget that Fatal Attraction (1987) wasn't the first movie to use this plot outline. First was Play Misty for Me in 1971. Then came a slew of movies throughout the 90's and going on into the early 00's using the same basic plot and only changing one or two things. Some examples include The Fan (1981), Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989), Jungle Fever (1991), The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992), Basic Instinct (1992), Single White Female (1992) and its sequel Single White Female 2: The Psycho (2005), The Temp (1993), The Crush (1993), Sliver (1993), Disclosure (1994), A Thin Line Between Love and Hate (1996), Fear (1996), The Fan (1996) (not a remake of the 1981 film), One Night Stand (1997), Unfaithful (2002), Swimfan (2002), Wicker Park (2004), Match Point (2005), Derailed (2005), I Think I Love My Wife (2007), Lakeview Terrace (2008) and Homecoming (2009).

x-post -- Released the year of my birth and filmed and set in Carmel, my dad's hometown and the greatest place on earth = the best movie ever made. (I might lie.)

no way disclosure is a serious drama about how hot chicks were always harassing middle aged dudes in the workplace in the 90s, i thought it was pandering oscar bait, but critics ate it up

This is a definite future checkout from the local library.
― Nhex, Wednesday, 8 April 2009 20:09 (seventeen years ago)
Anyway, why are there so many movies about women obsessed with men and stalking them, even though in real life most stalkers are men? Is this some secret male fantasy?
― Tuomas, Wednesday, 8 April 2009 20:15 (seventeen years ago)
So, 500 posts by midnight?
― Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 8 April 2009 20:16 (seventeen years ago)
well the vice versa would require a female lead and movies can't have none of that
― fucken cumlord (omar little), Wednesday, 8 April 2009 20:17 (seventeen years ago)
Male stalker movies are all over Lifetime network though.
― Event Horizon (Nicole), Wednesday, 8 April 2009 20:18 (seventeen years ago)
What's that?
― Tuomas, Wednesday, 8 April 2009 20:19 (seventeen years ago)
Sigh
― Event Horizon (Nicole), Wednesday, 8 April 2009 20:19 (seventeen years ago)
it's a movie where the male stalks the female instead of vice versa
― Mr. Que, Wednesday, 8 April 2009 20:19 (seventeen years ago)
Yeah, but there doesn't seem to be too many of those compared to female stalker movies.

midnight screening in brooklyn was all i ever hoped and desired
Details!
― Ned Raggett, Saturday, 2 May 2009 17:29 (sixteen years ago)
well. beyonce is the perfect ham of a Wife, and ali larter is the perfect ali larter. the whole thing is tailored for short attention spans, sporting cheap, fitted thrills that make for a dream full-house screening, ripe with audience feedback.
a definite rival for The Hand That Rocks The Cradle.
― Surmounter, Saturday, 2 May 2009 17:40 (sixteen years ago)
as for the rest? ned, you just have to go.
― Surmounter, Saturday, 2 May 2009 17:42 (sixteen years ago)
i have to be honest that i thought Obsessed was a fantastic film, and the only flaw i saw in it was when Beyonce forgot her purse at home and had to go back, because no woman would ever forget a purse like that.
lol at that^. it was ok, beyonce's "acting" is pretty brutal
