if you had to wear an animal costume for an entire year what animal would you choose (excluding humans)?

I want to know. And you should relate it to performance art history present or future.

if it could be conclusively proven that it was the beatles and not simon and garfunkles who said koo-koo-ca-choo first, I would be a walrus. If not... shit, a sacrificial lamb I guess...

N., aren't you worried about your mobility - and your mouth. I think your choice would condemn you to a year of constant abuse. I think I might favour something like this:

but I'm not sure, I might get sick of my horn, and I don't want to mock real unicorns.

haloist, Tuesday, 28 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

And white is just too impractical, especially as you'll probably get up to more escapades than when you're not dressed as an animal, so I now favour this:

I would be a badger :
http://www.wildlifetrust.org.uk/cornwall/jpegs/badger.jpg< br> They are evidently the best - Nocturnal, grumpy, hard as fuck, mad max stripes etc.

At a party recently, a bloke asked "What woodland creature would you be?" When I said "Badger" he turned round to his mate and said "'ere 'e's a Badger too!" Never did find out what he was on about.

Was his friend a badger?

N., Tuesday, 28 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

[joke that will only make sense to New Zealanders, if at all: I couldn't bear doing this at all because people would just think I was from Palmy]

haloist, Tuesday, 28 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, that's a photo from the party.
I remember the conversation ending in him accusing me of nicking a lit cigar from his pocket and offering me outside. We went out and fell about a bit before hugging manfully and calling each other poof's. OK, so in retrospect it's not that funny. Must of been something in the pop, etc.
Remind me to tell you my "Somebody call me a C**t" story sometime. That's not very funny either.

I want a fully functioning giant squid costume. Endless fun. Um, performance art... I could wield several naked women with blue paint all over them...

Have we officially hit rock-bottom?

Mandee, Tuesday, 28 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

A dragon suit, of course. And I do all of my performance art here.

Where is the best place to find pictures of people in animal costumes?

N., Wednesday, 29 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Here or here does it for me. Alternatively google image search for (insert animal here) and costume.
