conference calls

i hate them

often better than meetings

more prone to causing confusion though

i appreciate the ability to make faces and obscene gestures at the other part(ies)y involved though.

Its great when there's hookups from many states/places and there's always that one guy who is probably on his own and he goes quiet halfway thru and no one even notices (and it's because he's gone off and gotten coffee or fallen asleep).

I hate organizing conference calls a lot more than being on them but both suck to be sure.

i think we almost destroyed a deal today thanks to conference call confusion (which is what happens when you have 6 people who have never met hashing out the minutiae of a deal.)

The one person who seems to be talking through a tin can into a speaker phone from 30 feet away who decides to give a 10-minute speech about something but who everyone else seems to be able to hear clearly.

I called into meetings once a week because I work at another campus. The worst is when a third or fourth person is callled.
