I have no idea. I kind of suspect that "being forced to at gunpoint" would be the answer, but I don't know why I think that. Do they still have that livejournal thing going? Ask them!

Poptimists is still going but is much slower than it used to be, it's kind of played out a bit now I think. Most of the action is on Freakytrigger itself these days.
I think most people just drift away from internet communities after a while, this one intended, a combination of growing disinterest, work/life responsibilities, a board no longer feeling like 'home' or on occasions a 'fuck this for a laugh' reaction. It's happened to scores of ILX posters over the years, that group were just the most noticeable because they were the founders and the original core group. I miss them posting here a bit but on the other hand I interact with them so much elsewhere (online and in the pub) that it doesn't really matter to me.
I wonder what the Vicar was expecting to happen when he started this thread?
