Outré belt wearing

Ken Livingstone and Janine from Eastenders have taken to wearing their belts in odd positions, with the buckle at the back or the side. Should this be encouraged?

Wearing your buckle in the wrong place is like a code, and can mean anything from 'I'm the mayor of London' to 'I'm a teenage coke whore'.

Yes. We are all for a greater range of belt diversity. These are modern belt wearers with a third way of belt wearing.

My belt got me into trouble (sort of) recently, I was standing talking to my mate in a bar and she said 'that bloke is looking at your belt' so I said 'are you looking at my belt?' to which he replied 'no I am looking at your arse'. I meet such charming young men.

At least he was being honest.

I love the title of this thread.

Sean, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sadly, it is ILLEGAL.

N., Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm confused. Why?

Anna, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

it's illegal to look at emma's arse? how sad.

nickie, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Anna - it's probably because you're living in a hypermediated and hypersexualised environment which shows every sign of worsening.

N., Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I think it's time for a new catch phrase, N.

Dan Perry, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Shut up

Austin, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

How about 'no I am looking at your arse'.

Graham, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Now it all becomes clear. Sex and magazines obv. lead to my perpetual state of fuddle-headedness. Well that's a real shame.

Go back to belts.

Anna, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I probably should ease up on the sex and magazines myself. I doubt I will, however.

Sean, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm assuming that was Emma's tassled white belt which always makes me laugh when I see it.

My favourite belts are seatbelts.

Pete, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Support group is needed Sean.

Anna, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I can stop whenever I want! Well, reading magazines, anyway.

Sean, Thursday, 30 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

ten months pass...
What type of belt are you looking for?

minna (minna), Sunday, 27 April 2003 09:23 (twenty-three years ago)
