I'm Fixin' to Anticipate: Final Destination 3D: Death Trip! (aka "The Final Destination" or "FD4")

On what should have been a fun-filled day at the races, Nick O'Bannon has a horrific premonition in which a bizarre sequence of events causes multiple race cars to crash, sending flaming debris into the stands, brutally killing his friends and causing the upper deck of the stands to collapse on him. When he comes out of this grisly nightmare Nick panics, persuading his girlfriend, Lori, and their friends, Janet and Hunt, to leave...escaping seconds before Nick's frightening vision becomes a terrible reality. Thinking they've cheated death, the group has a new lease on life, but unfortunately for Nick and Lori, it is only the beginning. As his premonitions continue and the crash survivors begin to die one-by-one — in increasingly gruesome ways — Nick must figure out how to cheat death once and for all before he, too, reaches his final destination.

I don't think my brutal format disaster helped (can that be fixed?). I'm also not sure if you're being sarcastic or not... but these movies are a blast!

FD was a huge steaming pile and I can't imagine the sequels being much better.

the drive thru accident scene in FD3 is awesome.

Man there better be hella blood-splattering-on-the-camera effects for this to be worth the $12 ticket...

or 3D boobs.

I only saw one of these, the second, on HBO or some crap, but this was amazing:

3D has a way of making low-budget look even low budgettier—like every background including simplest sets are greenscreened

oh also it kind of has the same ending as inglourious basterds?

I'm curious to see what happens to the girl in the car wash (I mean, clearly she dies in some gruesome fashion... but how?).

This definitely felt like the cheapest of the series, dialogue and plotwise. Compared to the high high standards of the previous ones obv. But still entertaining, gruesome, stupid, fun. 3D still feels gimmicky - at the risk of sounding like those who said the same about sound and colour. I do find it hard to focus on stuff that comes way out - maybe sitting further back helps, we were 3rd row from front.

one of the best horror franchises imo, this one is obviously the worst of them but it's still kind of a blast

This series (the ones I've seen, at least) are the kinds of stupid horror movies that get stupid right. It's one thing to watch dumb kids get killed by monsters, it's another to watch dumb kids try to escape the unstoppable wrath of death itself, which, rather than just take them out, prefers elaborate traps for our entertainment. I mean, if I were death that's probably how I would do it, too.
