Did you win Emma last night? What would it take to win an Emma?

Taking Sides : Emma vs. EMMA

Jeff W, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

GIVE ME AWARDS.

No one won me last night as I stayed in all alone depilating in front of Eastenders & Bad Girls & BB3 in preparation for the Bank Holiday. To win an Emma you need: good looks, charm & bucketloads of cash.

Emma, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Damn I only have good loads and bucket looks.

Heh, I just read that link properly for first time: Halle Berry wins best film actress for....

Swordfish!

I award Emma sticks of raw carrot wrapped in clingfilm.

(Jeff, if one is only interested in an Emma I'm sure you can find some of looser virtue)

Graham, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

What's virtue got to do with the price of butter?

Jeff W, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

You should try the Original (but not the best) Emma Hamilton who, according to my mum, would wrap herself in muslin cloth and allow gentlemen (well, I call the gentlemen...) to fling buckets of water over her. The Original (and maybe the best?) wet t-shirt contest.

Emma, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

virtue = me using word sI know not what they mean

Graham, Friday, 31 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

No, I stand corrected (cf. Emma's last post :-O)

*sliding back into my seat* Damn, and here I thought I was in with a chance. How about the best 2 out of 3, Emma?

Nichole Graham, Sunday, 2 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Pardon the irregularity of this, but I'd like to nominate myself for an Emma Prize in recognition of my having opened a month and a half's worth of mail this weekend. (This would be the Emma Prize for Greatest Improvement in Mail-Opening Habits, I believe.) (Also I saw a large-breasted woman in a beautifully-fitted peasant shirt, for which I suggest an auxiliary Emma Prize for Being Righter than Emma about Clothing.)
