a headache makes you more attractive.

nonplussed. nothng quite impresses you. you seem as though you are harbouring some private pain, because you are. and, murphy's law style, it's exactly when you feel your worst when people decide you're interesting.

in general, too, but being in pain cramps my imagination and ability to relate. is that more boring, more needy? self-possession and self-containment are probably more attractive and interesting in general, it's true.

Reserve can be intriguing but I think I'm probably more of a whiny biotch when I've got nagging pain.

no, i don't think headaches make you FEEL more attractive. they make you actually BE more attractive. to some people. in the right situations.

Tracer Hand, Saturday, 6 June 2009 23:28 (sixteen years ago)

on the other hand, this could be wishful thinking.

of all the people on ILX, I am shocked that TRACER HAND missused the word "nonplussed" here.

Not really sure. . . I mean is he, Tracer, nonplussed? Because it doesn't seem as though headache chick is.

quincie, Sunday, 7 June 2009 22:14 (sixteen years ago)

False. When I get a migraine my head is buried between two pillows as soon as possible. I've never met anyone who entered my silent house uninvited to admire me (in a silent, dark room, in fetal position) to judge me delectable. If they did, I would lift my head 2 mm to tell them to take a rain check and get the fuck out.

Derelict, Sunday, 7 June 2009 22:23 (sixteen years ago)

i guess when i have a headache i am so BEWILDERED TO THE POINT OF SPEECHLESSNESS that i use words incorrectly :(

which is pretty sexy

Tracer Hand, Sunday, 7 June 2009 22:35 (sixteen years ago)

If you're harboring private pain that's one thing, but I'm more likely to be bitching to anyone around about my poor headache ow ow ow. Not attractive.

Maria, Monday, 8 June 2009 01:12 (sixteen years ago)

two years pass...

I've had a headache for about nine days solid and been stoic throughout. Should be ruling the world by now.

Kim, Wednesday, 29 June 2011 02:27 (thirteen years ago)

Um, there are a few serious conditions that could indicate. Have you considered going to a doctor for a consultation. Even if the doctor is a prat, at least s/he could run a few tests and rule out a brain tumor or something like that.

Aimless, Wednesday, 29 June 2011 02:30 (thirteen years ago)

Probably you're right. Still hanging on even after ibuprofen and feels like a dehydration headache, but that can't be the problem.

Kim, Wednesday, 29 June 2011 16:41 (thirteen years ago)

Back to OP's post, supposedly girls are more attracted to broody types than smiling affable types. I read this recently on the internet. Also, personal experience refutes this entirely.

coffeetripperspillerslyricmakeruppers (Latham Green), Wednesday, 29 June 2011 19:06 (thirteen years ago)

Kim, had the same some months back. I'm not the type to get migraines & such but it really wigged me out when day after day I'd wake up and the pain hadn't subsided while sleeping. This went on for about a week. I eventually got some migraine meds, took the maximum allowed amount, and that seriously quelled it w/in a day. Your body does weird shit.
