This sounds like it came from a v. posh cub scout manual. I was sold when you said 'with scotch.'

Ah, ah, I remember, the similar thing in the cub scout manual was called 'gorp,' as described in a vague and threatening way on this site:

Decide for yourself if it is appropriate for your younger scouts or not.

Sounds pretty good to me.

get some vanilla ice cream up in that and we'll talk.

Good idea cause while the dessert in question sounds amazing it's basically just trail mix.

i could maybe go for some of this right now (esp. w scotch)

i keep reading your recipe and expecting it to say, "put the mixture in whipped cream" or "ice cream" or even "yogurt" and it never does

My grandma used to always give us frozen chocolate chips mixed up with frozen mini marshmallows in small plastic bowls of assorted colors. I used to cap a marshmallow on each side with the flat part of a chip and make a "sandwich."

Agreed that ice cream is required. And I could live without the walnuts. Or even just eat the cherries. Mmm.

I don't eat dessert regularly, but a couple days ago I was over at a friend's having some beers and got an irresistible urge to make cookies. Their cupboards were full and everybody was happy to eat them, but it was weird, I have never brazenly and randomly requested to cook something in someone else's kitchen before!

I had a nutella gelato the other day that was quite fantastic.

EZ Snappin, Monday, 8 June 2009 01:14 (sixteen years ago)

that does sound amazing.

Anything with nutella or nutella flavored is automatically awesome.

sounds good, I'd prefer individual cups for the different items. Are the walnuts fresh?

I tried to find those things in the kitchen but there were no cherries so I've just got bread and jam.
