A Belgian teenager said on Tuesday she would sue a tattoo parlour which she said covered half her face with stars while she was asleep, reports said.

Kimberley Vlaeminck, 18, was left sporting 56 black stars of various sizes on the left side of her face, from nose to ear and brow to chin.

The young housewife said she had gone to the tattoo parlour in the western town of Courtrai and asked for three small stars on her face.

"I wanted him to tattoo on just three little points but he suggested three stars saying it would look prettier," Vlaeminck told local press.

"When he started the tattooing I didn't want to feel the pain and so I went to sleep. I had got up at five in the morning," she said.

"I woke up when he was starting to tattoo my nose and I saw what he had already done. I counted 56 stars, it's frightening," she told the Flemish daily Het Laatste Nieuws.

The young woman, who said she doesn't dare walk down the street, has decided to sue the tattoo parlour.

...but apparently she's happy to have her photo all over the world's papers.

srsly. I've never gotten a tattoo myself, but I've been there when friends of mine have and that shit hurts too much to just fall asleep in the chair. ESPECIALLY ON THE FACE!

The tat artist is saying she was never asleep and she's trying to wrangle her way out of having it done cause her dad's pissed off, or something.

I'm one of those weirdos for whom tattooing doesn't hurt that much. I mean it doesn't tickle but it's not esp painful for me and yet still . . . falling asleep? Never.

He's now willing to help pay for laser removal, though, but not as an admission of guilt, only because he wants people to be happy with his work.

Still, another tattooist says it's the guy's fault in any case, since he didn't get her to sign a paper with the design before starting (don't know if they all do that).

But the baby's skin is gonna stretch while it grows up, I don't think that would make the tattoos look good.
