Which ones are liquorice?

Originally opened in 1964 (Ned Trifle II), Monday, 22 June 2009 15:25 (sixteen years ago)

Job. They stick much better than Rizla or Swan

Colonel Poo, Monday, 22 June 2009 15:26 (sixteen years ago)

xpost I think Orange Rizla are liquorice? Maybe? Can't remember

Colonel Poo, Monday, 22 June 2009 15:26 (sixteen years ago)

Computer says yes.

Originally opened in 1964 (Ned Trifle II), Monday, 22 June 2009 15:27 (sixteen years ago)

Blue Rizla.

chap, Monday, 22 June 2009 15:28 (sixteen years ago)

orange Rizla are the thickest ones, normal otherwise

Tracer Hand, Monday, 22 June 2009 15:29 (sixteen years ago)

Liquorice are definitely orangey.

Oh, quite large.

I used to smoke ginseng rollies with liquorice papers. And then complain when pubs would ask me to leave.

Originally opened in 1964 (Ned Trifle II), Monday, 22 June 2009 15:30 (sixteen years ago)

gosh! that slightly different color of orange could cause quite a kerfubble were one to buy them by accident

Tracer Hand, Monday, 22 June 2009 15:33 (sixteen years ago)

licorice papers are a novelty though, like bidis, or cloves, or those rolling papers with a wire down them to make it easier to, uh, smoke the last little bit - this poll is strictly business

Tracer Hand, Monday, 22 June 2009 15:38 (sixteen years ago)

green smooth

combination pizza hut and shanty town (Lamp), Monday, 22 June 2009 15:38 (sixteen years ago)

Silver Rizlas.

They are the best size (small), the best price (cheap) and don't have any problems with the glue not sticking or weird burning patterns.

no s.d. modianos? what kinda amateurs we got here? (kiddin')

outdoor_miner, Monday, 22 June 2009 18:04 (sixteen years ago)

Zig Zags white.. Why mess with the classic?

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Monday, 22 June 2009 18:24 (sixteen years ago)

I know a fair few people for whom a liquorice rizla is an essential part of daily life.

Mornington Crescent (Ed), Monday, 22 June 2009 18:32 (sixteen years ago)

Red rizla are the ordinary thick ones.

Mornington Crescent (Ed), Monday, 22 June 2009 18:33 (sixteen years ago)

licorice papers are a novelty though

This seems a bit harsh. I used them because (believe it or not) I liked them. I get what you're saying though.

Originally opened in 1964 (Ned Trifle II), Monday, 22 June 2009 18:53 (sixteen years ago)

I never worked out what the point of the green Rizlas was, with the cut off corners.

Colonel Poo, Monday, 22 June 2009 18:53 (sixteen years ago)

oh, hahah, didn't see Ed's post - but yeah, I think people do genuinely use them regularly.

Originally opened in 1964 (Ned Trifle II), Monday, 22 June 2009 18:54 (sixteen years ago)

Makes rolling easier (cut off corners that is).

<3 JOB 1.25s

Suggest this user to be danned. (dan m), Monday, 22 June 2009 18:56 (sixteen years ago)

I think the cut corners make it easier to feed them into the little rolling machines you can get.

everything, Monday, 22 June 2009 19:06 (sixteen years ago)

guys i buy rolling papers on the regular and trust me, orange rizlas are not licorice by default

Tracer Hand, Monday, 22 June 2009 21:28 (sixteen years ago)

Pretty sure they are in England tbh

Colonel Poo, Monday, 22 June 2009 21:29 (sixteen years ago)

Agreed. Maybe this is a North America/UK marketing difference from Rizla?

everything, Monday, 22 June 2009 21:29 (sixteen years ago)

no vogue no credibility

Tops are *way* too thick. They're like training wheels for not breaking the paper.

Zig Zags white.. Why mess with the classic?

Really weird texture, like rice paper. Burn too harsh.

I only use JOB.

Hot Heineken (kenan), Monday, 22 June 2009 22:15 (sixteen years ago)

Green Rizlas, no messing about.

Eastürzendes Annoybaten (Noodle Vague), Monday, 22 June 2009 22:17 (sixteen years ago)

i live in london. maybe i am coloUr blind.

Tracer Hand, Monday, 22 June 2009 22:20 (sixteen years ago)

Did you mean the red instead of orange? I don't think I see orange rizlas that often but red are ubiquitous.

Eastürzendes Annoybaten (Noodle Vague), Monday, 22 June 2009 22:27 (sixteen years ago)

Having not been in a headshop for a while I am amazed at the very large range of rolling papers currently available. Back in the day I would most definitely have bought
transparent papers.

Oh I thought you lived in France for some reason, Tracer. Anyway if you look on rizla.co.uk the orange ones are liquorice... at lot of shops in London don't sell the UK versions though so that might be why.

Colonel Poo, Monday, 22 June 2009 22:31 (sixteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

System, Monday, 22 June 2009 23:01 (sixteen years ago)

If you buy 250g of Drum in Holland it comes with orange rizlas which are not liquorice, but the same or similar to reds, says 'chlorine free', horrible.

Silver rizla and OCB black are great, those come in convenient double decker packs. I always mean to buy a wholesale box off the internet.

Blues are easier to roll with while very inebriated, particularly with sweaty fingers.

Vasco da Gama, Tuesday, 23 June 2009 00:52 (sixteen years ago)

Ok, please tell me I'm not the only dimwit who thinks of toilet paper when seeing the thread title?

I GOTTA BRAKE FREEEEE (stevienixed), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 07:57 (sixteen years ago)

A pack of Drum here comes with JOB papers, and I think rightly so. I can't buy anything mellower or more even-burning.

Hot Heineken (kenan), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 08:09 (sixteen years ago)

xpost No, I think that might just be you. That does not mean you're a dimwit, all by itself.

Hot Heineken (kenan), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 08:10 (sixteen years ago)

Zig Zags, orange (1.25 size). Nice and big, burn pretty evenly, though not the thinnest out there.

Tried the clear "papers" made by some novelty companies one day, really weird.

throwbookatface (skygreenleopard), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 21:31 (sixteen years ago)

blues ftw. or silvers if i'm feeling frivolous.

N1ck (Upt0eleven), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 21:39 (sixteen years ago)
