meh (jjjusten), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 05:57 (fifteen years ago)

why you break heart all time, i cannot choose.

ian, Tuesday, 23 June 2009 05:57 (fifteen years ago)

i guess my choice is hot dogs, cuz i ate them for dinner.

ian, Tuesday, 23 June 2009 05:57 (fifteen years ago)

this is like picking which parent you would choose to kill

meh (jjjusten), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 05:58 (fifteen years ago)

i mean if the correct answer was both

meh (jjjusten), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 05:58 (fifteen years ago)

what kind of question is this even

whiney g. gordon liddy (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 06:00 (fifteen years ago)

it's tacos by such a long distance

whiney g. gordon liddy (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 06:00 (fifteen years ago)

it was hard to vote for just one, but i went with hot dogs out of hometown pride. eating nathan's franks on the coney island boardwalk = YES.

Garbanzo (get bent), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 06:01 (fifteen years ago)

hot dogs seems more versatile to me; i am american btw

guammls (QE II), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 06:10 (fifteen years ago)

b-b-but KOGI TACOS (i am l.a. hipster btw)

Garbanzo (get bent), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 06:14 (fifteen years ago)

BRAIN TACOS

meh (jjjusten), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 06:17 (fifteen years ago)

c'mon tacos are so small, you have to buy like 2-3 of em to match up to one hot dog

guammls (QE II), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 06:18 (fifteen years ago)

i live in the odd northernmost point of EXTREEM tacoland, so i am biased.

meh (jjjusten), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 06:19 (fifteen years ago)

xpost
tacos, at least in my part of mexico, are usually eaten by the 2=3s.

the chicano incarnation of benito juarez (primalfixations), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 06:31 (fifteen years ago)

tacos lengua mi amor

body merkin (The Reverend), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 06:37 (fifteen years ago)

xp yeah i just find eating 2-3 duplicate food things annoying. unless they're small enough to eat with a fork

guammls (QE II), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 06:37 (fifteen years ago)

another example: i'd rather eat one big burger than 4 cute tiny "buffalo ranch" or whatever mini-burger things at chilis/tgi fridays

guammls (QE II), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 06:38 (fifteen years ago)

i like a god dog but c'mon, tacos in a walk

Mr. Que, Tuesday, 23 June 2009 13:39 (fifteen years ago)

frankly, i'm stunned at the taco love

Kerm, Tuesday, 23 June 2009 13:40 (fifteen years ago)

tacos are versatile, hot dogs are pig lips and cow tails

Mr. Que, Tuesday, 23 June 2009 13:41 (fifteen years ago)

you can put anything on a hot dog you can put on a taco and you can't put pig lips and cow tails on a taco. "versatile" HA!

i want to marry a pizza (gbx), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 13:46 (fifteen years ago)

guys you can totally put pig lips and cow tails in tacos

just sayin, Tuesday, 23 June 2009 13:48 (fifteen years ago)

but they are optional--on hot dogs they are not optional

Mr. Que, Tuesday, 23 June 2009 13:48 (fifteen years ago)

^^^voted hot dog obv

cozwn, Tuesday, 23 June 2009 13:51 (fifteen years ago)

Kerm, it looks like there's snot on your dogco.

GBX, that is about three miles from my mom's (we go to either Jerry's in Edina or the Byerly's with the chandeliers to buy ours, they're closer). I make my mom buy at least two packs whenever I go home for Xmas and wonder why I (temporarily) gain 10lbs over the vacation. My uncle used to buy a whole box of them wholesale to grill for the Izaak Walton League picnic he threw every summer (they lived on Minnehaha Creek and were into conservation).

bad hijab (suzy), Tuesday, 23 June 2009 13:53 (fifteen years ago)

what u arrestin me for, innit (╓abies), Wednesday, 15 July 2009 12:40 (fifteen years ago)

i lived in chile for a semester. it's called a 'completo' right?

mark cl, Wednesday, 15 July 2009 12:53 (fifteen years ago)

The completo is a type of hot dog eaten in Chile. It is usually served with ingredients such as avocado, diced tomato and mayonnaise. In this form it may be known as an "italiano" (Italian Completo) or Tomate-Palta-Mayo (TPM). With the common addition of sauerkraut, known locally as chucrut, it may be called "classic completo". Ketchup, mustard and Aji chileno are the typical condiments.

mark cl, Wednesday, 15 July 2009 12:54 (fifteen years ago)

bordain went to chile on his show monday night. haven't watched it yet, but I'm thinking there's gonna be some hot dogs like that.

there's a place in Jackson Heights called Xtasis Megahamburger that I think sells various weird south american hamburgers and hot dogs. Walked by the other night and noticed a burger with shrimp on it.

Here's their menu:

A SHRIMPBURGER SOUNDS AMAZINGLY ATTRACTIVE RIGHT NOW. But if it turns out to be like a California goatcheese pizza and weird stuff I'd be bumbed.

daphne's (greek fast food chain) has started selling "street pitas" which are basically like gyros (or falafel or w/e) on a taco made of pita. i like.

Man, cochinita pibil may be the most overrated labor-intensive regional Mexican cuisine. It's no shock they only eat it in the Yucatan.

brimstead, Saturday, 30 November 2019 01:50 (five years ago)

Didn't vote, but this is so clearly tacos. I love a good dog now and then but they are straight up industrial trash next to the art and variety that is tacos.

Mazzy Tsar (PBKR), Saturday, 30 November 2019 14:21 (five years ago)

Conceptually I like tacos better than hot dogs, but I've had more substandard tacos than bad hot dogs. Tough call, but consistency has to count for something.
