I really wanted to go to Buenos Aires but talking to a Chilean who lived there for years in exile, at first forced then voluntary, who told me that apart from the dictatorship it was a wonderfully normal and European-like city in the 70s but is now slowly and surely becoming more dangerous and unpleasant I got sort of put off.
