This is not a Super Mario Bros. poll, though it could pass as one. This is a Bowser poll, so pick the Bowser you like the most.
So many options to choose from, yet how could it not be the original Super Mario Bros? That is my vote anyway, specifically for the hammer-throwing incarnation in the higher levels.

srsly, it's gotta be Super Mario 64 and the first time you encounter the ignoble brute in eye-popping 3-D. In fact, when I get home from work I am going to fire it up on the wii virtual console and throw that bastard around a bit.

I've only come across the Bowser in the Mario Party series. I think the Bowser in the third one was the best. He said some very silly things. So: Some other random thing that I missed.

oops. Sorry, Mario Party fans. Really tho, isn't it kind of odd that Mario & co. would just be chilling & jumping rope or whatever w/ their arch-nemesis? At least he makes hilarious noises in most of those sports/competition/cooperation games.

You do in Super Paper Mario, which I voted for, because its Bowser is pretty hilariously grumpy about hating the Mario Bros. but grudgingly signing up to help them find Peach -- also he does something heroic at the end. Also can just breathe fire on stuff too annoying to jump on.
