But, er, the sample in Gallup polls are statistically representative of the United States, including gender, race, economic background, etc. Of course I don't know what kind of sample OKCupid's userbase provides, but there's a strong chance it's not accurately representative.

I mean, even on dating sites you're going to get ppl who respond untruthfully to questions whether it's because it's what they think they should answer or shame or whatever. The joke is ultimately on them in that situation but it's still pretty interesting to wonder about the motivation behind false reporting.
