Favourite Season: UK Edition

The one with sunshine and bunnies and happy people and joy.

Cold and grey with ground frost ftw, obv.

ground frost = snow = leave the country, go skiing.

Should be:
- long nights, public transport in chaos;
- wtf sleet;
- too many ugly people with their tops off;
- leaves on line, public transport in chaos.

I still haven't decided which particular brand of cold and grey is preferable to this heatwave madness.

I voted cold and grey with soaking pissing rain, only because that can be quite cosy if you are indoors.

But seriously fuck a heatwave now that I actually have to sit in a steaming hot office all day.

Cold and grey with soaking pissing rain, as I like soaking pissing rain. Not the greyness, so much, as I prefer a crisp cold with rain, but even that's preferable to over-hot humid rain for me.

it's mad hot here in my house, but i haven't ventured outside to check if it's actually hot outside. agree with jim (since he's only about 10 miles away) - is very humid though. it's made my hair go all frizzy.

anyway, best weather is crisp and snowy weather, or actual proper non-humid sunshiney weather.

I do like the crackling August electrical storms that end really horrible heatwaves, though. I find them really exciting. And it's so lovely to dance about in the rain to the rhythm of the thunder. But I might just be a mad hippie.

are you kidding me? it's been unbearable up here for the past few days

i dunno, maybe just used to it because i was in Barcelona a fortnight ago. Has been ok for me. Curtains shut and windows open all the time, all the doors open. In the low 20s in my house. Only been out for a few strolls and it's been fine!

See I can deal with this. I don't hate the sun after all! I just can't stand the gross combination of humidity and comparatively hot temperatures we had earlier this week. I was just sat out on the balcony at work having a fag with my colleague, slightly shaded by the building with a slight breeze and it was really nice. I could be persuaded the summer doesn't suck if it was always like that.
