In 1969, they hated hippies and cops, loved reggae and tamla and Slade, dressed just about perfect, & were so manly it turned them gay even though skinhead chicks are hotter than summer sidewalks. Keep in mind that americans in 1969 were trying to dress like wizards and mudpies.

sixties skins seem so cool to me but maybe thats just cause I never had to meet any of them. the last 20 yrs of skins have been massive duds. the ones I've known anyway.

The skinheads (er, "baldies" rather, as they said "skinhead" implied you were racist) were great. They used to invite me with them to go up into the Cities to beat up racists. I always declined, but I appreciated the offer.
