So like pretty much everyone in the world blew off the last vague request for a get together, including myself, so like let's do another. June 29th, which is a Saturday, Sean C will be in town and is asking a bit on ILM but it's just not working cos it's buried in another thread. I figure we should have a nice welcome. I think we ought to meet up at the Blind Tiger in the afternoon, that place is nuts. They have men in straw hats and beards who chat with you about how spicy your Bloody Mary is and dogs walking around and an astonishing selection of beers and good light coming in from the Hudson and... oh SHIT! I just realized who the guy was at the bar who was talking to me about the jalapenos in my drink. ohmigodohmigodohmigod I am almost positive it was former owner of the Philadelphia 76ers, Pat Croce!

Obv. I'm in, provided it's not too far afield (remember, I am a chickenshit rural kid at heart, and don't like wandering around by meself at night in the big city). As I mentioned on another thread over at ILM, I'll be staying at the Roosevelt so something not too far from there would make navigation and motivation a lot easier for me.

June 29th is best for me, any time during the day, even. Mayyyybe the 28th, if all of the PC Expo stuff is done by then (I'm assuming it will have wound down by then). If anyone needs to reach me urgently while I'm in the city, hopefully my Blackberry will be working: sean(removethis)@mobile.rogers.com (obviously, remove that part in brackets...don't want the spam spiders to pick up my mobile address). I'll possibly be wandering the city during the day on the 29th so if anyone wants to meet up beforehand and, like, record shop or something, let me know (or email me sometime while I'm there, from the 25th on).

if anyone feels like a lunch-ish meet time, i can swing by for a pint or three. i am flying out of newark (to toronto, natch) in the evening and need to be at penn station by 5pm to catch NJTransit. if that doesn't jive with people's schedules then don't bother rearranging things, but since an earlier meet time was already suggested i thought i'd throw my hat in the ring.
