There was a TV movie called Something the Lord Made, starring Mos Def and Alan Rickman, about a black physician at Johns Hopkins in the 1950s -- you can tell they shot it in Baltimore because like half The Wire has a couple lines (Prop Joe is the janitor).

I just saw Wendel Pierce as Willy Loman on the West End stage in London - in a production that did nothing to change my opinion on the hokey 'Why you I oughta' qualities of that particular play and of stage acting in general. Still it was either that or pay 70 friggin' quid to watch West Ham play Leicester City.

There's a bit in the oral history book where Andre Royo (i think) mentions losing a job because they had cast Michael K. Williams in another role and didn't want two Wire actors in their movie because then people would compare it to The Wire.

Wonder what the record is for Most Wire Actors in a Single Film or TV Show is, post-The Wire. The Walking Dead had Cutty, D'Angelo and Carver, though I can't recall if Carver overlapped with the other two.

Damages season 2 had Rawls, Freamon and the newspaper guy from season 5. Clearly trying to be as complicated as the Wire and failing.

The question would be: as members of an ensemble cast, or in terms of appearances throughout the duration of a show? Like, if we're talking appearances, the winner would probably be something like CSI whatever or Criminal Minds or Supernatural or one of those long running killer/monster of the week shows.

Such a long time since I saw this, I barely recall Prez's character, it's frightening how much the guy on the far left looks like Keir Dullea tho'.

I'm sure this is old news but Chris Bauer has a role in For All Mankind. I knew that he wore a fat suit when he played Sobotka, but damn, I didn't realize just how trim he is till I saw him on FAM.
