Chupa-Cabras, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I am sort of a small (UK) 5 depending on the shop / shoe style. European size about 37-38. No idea about US shoe sizes.

Emma, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

US 9. Whee.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

48. Fear me.

Colin Meeder, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I think we need some form of international standardising here before I get confused...

Emma, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

UK 8

jel --, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Does this help?

I am same size as jel.

Jeff W, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Hang on - lots of UK shoes show continental sizes too and my size 5s are always size 38. So how come there's all these different sizes on that chart? I am suspicious of the chart.

Emma, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

All right. Here's another one. Ladies' sizes only tho'.

Jeff W, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Thank you for restoring my faith in charts.

Emma, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

UK 9. Average.

Ally C, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

US SIZE 16.

(take that, shrimps.)

jess, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Do you have to buy clown shoes Jess?

Nicole, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I think I can take the Ladies crown as my foot size isn't even on the woman's chart. So I extrapolated from the data to determine that I am an American size 11, and a European 44.

Bonus 1: Can share shoes with husband. Drawback 1: Unable to buy heels/sandals in this Country.

marianna, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

god bless the internet.

jess, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

More grist for the Ned = Dan mill: I have 9 US feet as well.

*rereads* Er, size 9 US feet. Amazing how creepy leaving out one word can make you seem...

Dan Perry, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

holy moly jess! you know what they say about a guy with big feet, right? "big poo."

Tracer Hand, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

it's all true, right down to the low sloping forehead and low-level dementia.

jess, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

and the big poo.

Tracer Hand, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

tracer, stop hanging out in my shower.

jess, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

7 1/2 UK

RickyT, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Do the feet make giant flapping noises when you walk?

Nicole, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That was for Jess, not for RickyT!

Nicole, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I AM NOT GOLLUM.

nasty hobbitses., Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

MarkH, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

How come so many of the men round here have such weensy feet?

Emma, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Jess is the foot-burglah!

Dan Perry, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i think i used to be a 10, but i bort runnin shoos recently and i am a 9 to 8 1/2. can feeets shrink?

Alan Trewartha, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

this could be the first time i've ever been alpha-male.

(and don't worry dan, even if snatch 3 of yours, you'd still have 6.)

jess, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

size 10.

Chris, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Douglas, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Jess I want to see a picture of your feet!!! Please????

I am a size 5-6 UK feetwise!

I am in a better mood now as I am thinking of shoes and also picked up a book and read a chapter in the toilets ha ha it is very calming.

Sarah, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i have the ugliest feet in history (outside of my mom and maybe john merrick.)

my sister says i have toes like a lemur.

jess, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

but the rest of your foot is like a person's foot? eww

Tracer Hand, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

christ, maybe i do have hobbit feet.

jess, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I wonder if there is a book of history's ugliest feet anywhere. I would be interested to see it if so as I reckon I've seen some contenders in my time.

Emma, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Jess I want to see a picture of your feet!!! Please????

Foot porn! Or is it foot sex (tm fred solinger)?

Nicole, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

UK 12, EUR 47.

How come Emma knows here European size and I had to look at mine, and forever repelled the cute girl on the next computer.

Graham, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I spend a lot of time looking at the soles of my feet.

This isn't actually true. It's just that in shoe sales etc. you pick up the shoe, turn it over to check your size and there it is. Also quite a lot of shoes sold in UK shops have European sizes only on them.

Emma, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Size 6ish. Sometimes 7. Rollerscates are size 5. I have versatile feet.

alix, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

US 7, UK 5.

rosemary, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

13.5 NA Sizes

anthony, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Bottoms of shoes. WHY on talk shows do the guests always cross their legs the wrong way so that you can see the dirty unfinished bottoms of their shoes? This really bothers me because it seems so simple to correct.

Tracer Hand, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

tracer, crossing legs towards you is an unequivocal sex invite.

jess, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Such perversities. Once again I am dragged down to a level of filth that could not be countenanced.

More grist for the Ned = Dan mill

One of these days we should just film a remake of Twins.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

RollersKates.

alix, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I think I may have the shortest male feet here*: I buy size 7 (US 8), but that's because they are high and wide. In length, they are barely size 5 (6 US). In fact they are about 22cm long, which according to the first size chart referenced above, makes them about size 0 UK (1.5 or so, US), so there's something wrong there, as I don't think size 0 feet would support what is a more or less normal size male body.

*Not much of a boast, is it?

Martin Skidmore, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

anywhere from 12 to 13 US depending on the shoe

Josh, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm size 9, I sometimes think my feet are too small or too big for my height. I can't decide. It doesn't keep me up at night but it's an odd phobia nonetheless. I guess it's not the sort of fear that has any effects. Still.....

Ronan, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

jess has adorable not scary feet.

i have chubby feet. 9 1/2 wide, u.s.

nancy b., Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Size 9 (U.S.)

j.lu, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i have size 8 1/2 feet in new zealand, i don't know what that means.

queenoftheharpies, Friday, 7 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes! Yes! So far I do have the smallest feet on ILE as predicted by Emma on another thread.

UK size 4 generally, but can fit into a UK 3 depending on shop.

Finally distinction on the internet. I can log off happy.

Anna, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

haha i wuv how nancy undermines jess's gangsta-rap rep!!

mark s, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

petra jane, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Such perversities. Once again I am dragged down to a level of filth that could not be countenanced.

We're sorry; we all thought you did like a generous amount of smut.

j.lu, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

mark, i'm only 24, i don't have a rep yet.

jess, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Graham has got enormous feet for his size. I am UK size 8 (sometimes 7), US size 9, continental size 42. I'm quite tall, so I fall over a lot.

N., Sunday, 9 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Mine is a great 7 1/2 medium width Canada

Gale, Sunday, 9 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Especially if you're doing any standing up / walking.

they all are afflicted with a sickness of existence (Scik Mouthy), Monday, 22 April 2013 12:29 (twelve years ago)

hmmm... it's not really that warm yet though and it never happened before. I wonder if it's fallen arches or something... never mind.

pssstttt, Hey you (dog latin), Monday, 22 April 2013 13:01 (twelve years ago)

It doesn't need to be WARM, just warmER than it has been; down here it's been freezing for ages and then over the last couple of weeks got considerably warmer. That might be enough.
