I just thought I'd tell you. Sometimes I forget I haven't eaten then wonder why I am hungry. I've gone days.

Ally C, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Anorexist!!!

Sarah, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Send N. to the shops.

PJ Miller, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Have a sausage supper for breakfast

David, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Mmm, grease.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

N. has gone. *sob*

My girlfriend has demanded sausage supper, but cannot wait fo me to arrive before having herself some sausage. I worry.

Ally C, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

'fo me'

I have been watching China vs Brazil. I am some kind of rascist.

Ally C, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

if youre serious, this is quite strange. i freak out mentally if i haven't eaten in the last two hours. i often need to eat a little snack right before going out for dinner etc. so that i won't be too hungry when i'm sitting down to eat. oops, wait a minute maybe i'm quite strange too??

Ron, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It is now lunch time and I haven't had breakfast either, so I'm starving. Of course, I just woke up.

Sean, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i NEVER, EVER forget to eat. i'm always hungry and i will seriously eat ANYTHING (except animals and their products) with an emphatic lack of grace.

queenoftheharpies, Saturday, 8 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Forgetting to eat = only doable when hungover, when you need it the most. If you have a problem forgetting to eat, go on a diet. You will then be thinking about food eveery minute of every day, so forgetting won't be an issue.

ILE is so pure. I can think of other lists on which much would have been made of this remark.

David, Sunday, 9 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

we were all politely leaving it in the incapable hands of DAN PERRY but inexplicably he declined the invitiation

mark s, Sunday, 9 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It's ok. I gave her sausage in the end.

Ally C, Sunday, 9 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ally, please don't take over from BG Mark as the ILE unnecessary details person.

BTW, have you got a brand spanking new Mk.2 Pines badge yet?

smirk

David, Sunday, 9 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I am sickened by Ally C's post.

N., Sunday, 9 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That's some powerful empathy.

Ronan, Sunday, 9 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

David: I hate you.

N.: Quiet or you'll never watch another England game in my rascist company.

Ally C, Sunday, 9 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Is that Mk 2 Pines or Mk 2 badge? Has one of them left in a strop? Hooray, rock 'n' roll, etc. It would be good if Mk 2 Pines had enough members to play in a V formation, like ducks or geese on the wing.

PJ Miller, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I should point out that I'm relying on this thread for entertainment today. Well, that and the possibility of riots in Portugal.

PJ Miller, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

They are green badges with a slightly gothic font. Quite nice really.

alix, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

[taking sides: the red ones vs the green ones]

the pinefox, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Mk 2 badge - AFAIK Pines1 & Pines2 are still R!O!C!K solid.

Hard to take sides re the badges: red ones score on minimalism, green ones have more designed features. The 'the' on the green ones is amazingly complex.

I guess for some fans The Pines will be ever green ...

David, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

... indigo - violet - blue ...

the pinefox, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Is the 'the' like the one in 'The Daily Telegraph'? That is the most complex 'the' I have seen to date.

PJ Miller, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

.... and whenever I think of The Pines I see stars

David, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

The Alpinestars?

Alan T, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I haven't even seen the green ones yet, but I'm sticking my neck out and saying they're awful.

Ally C, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I like green.

but I like orange. purple too.

richard john gillanders, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ally - Is that 'cos green is the colour of sour grapes?

David, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I was depressed but just realized I have not had dinner yet. Now I am less depressed.

Honda, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

No one's going to explain about these colorful badges are they.

Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

WHY DIDN'T I READ THIS THREAD SOONER??????? *sob*

Another missed opportunity!, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I second that response, boo.

but to add my tuppenceworth, I haven't seen the badges in question, nut I do quite often to forget to eat, I never used to do it when working but since I finished (and at weekends before that as well as holidays) I would regularly forget to eat and then realise why my stomach was rumbling at 11 at night!!

chris, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

David, my grapes are purple.

Ally C, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ally, you must buy baggier pants immediately.

chris, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

And again I'm boxed out!

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Dan is the Mike Tyson of ILE.

Ally C, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ally C in admitting his grapes are sour shockaaaaaaaaaah!

Have they gone past their best before date? Or is it that they just haven't received enough sunshine? Oh well, they would probably be OK for wine for distilling.

David, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Okay, now you're just taunting me.

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)
