(And yes it's a few days old and thus ancient history, but even so.)

Well maybe their jaws hadn't evolved enough.

what's the point of tons of metallic death razing a village if it's going to nosh on a salad afterwards

I have a feeling there's some metal album out there telling that very story right now.

What's the point of creating killer robots their existence won't send billions of dollars to the robotics, fuel AND meat industries?
― StanM, Tuesday, 21 July 2009 21:38 (sixteen years ago)
...
How do man-eating robots help the meat industry?

so basically you are saying that the waste produced by these robots after they consume dead people for food will be resold as "Robopatties"(TM)

“We completely understand the public’s concern about futuristic robots feeding on the human population"
― nabisco, Tuesday, 21 July 2009 22:13 (sixteen years ago)
the story in the paper about this seemed to state that the robots would
i) consume a whole bunch of local materialii) carry out tests in material in their robot stomachs, determining what fit their 'acceptable to eat' parametersiii) eat stuff which passed obviously
so er instead of digesting human remains they'll excrete them right great
