New service starts today,

BBC Radio Player - Radio on Demand

An excellent new service from the BBC, BBC Radio Player - Radio on Demand

Listen to a selection of the best Radio shows, anytime, for up to 7 days after broadcast.

What shows would you playback during the week that you currently miss out on?

Will the Broadband bandits now wake up to the Breezeblock, Annie Nightingale, Peel or something else etc instead of Sara Cox?

the service includes a 15 minute skip function.

NEW LISTENING ANSWERS.

I will certainly catch up with Mixing It each week - that currently clashes with Nick Luscombe's Xfm Flo-Motion show.

Will Tim Westwood still be as laughable at 7 on a Tuesday morning? Will The Dream Team still be speaking in what appears to be a foreign language at two in the morning? And what about the chance to listen to "Dangerous" Dave Pearce's ever entertaining mixes three times in a row?

Sad thing is, I'm quite excited about this. The chance to listen to One World and Peel without killing my sleep patterns is a good thing.

Oh, and it's in that terrific RealPlayer format. Great.

they should rename the TV license the BBC lic - as I hardly watch any TV these days. It is a good that I get value for money from various radio (5live and selective 1FM shows) plus the BBC website - is constantly improving.

This playback service is excellent, but it has a very lowkey launch - I only found out about from BBCi Music homepage.

Excellent! I can listen to shows I missed while I'm at work! I forgot I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue tonight, for instance. And missed Peel last Wednesday due to being out with twenty-odd people from here. And I can repeat Westwoodisms to my colleagues. That will be fun.

I'm going to listen to everything, with special emphasis on Desmond Carrington and Bruce Dickinson. Thanks for the tip.

one month passes...
This is fantastic actually. I can let Late Junction lull me to sleep at work now rather than falling asleep twenty minutes before the end. This will make my working day so much better.

Westwood ho!!

It is good isn't it? I was listening to wossname from Iron Maiden yesterday. He is the worst DJ I've ever heard but the music was all right.
