gelato = ice cream? plz to explain.

blackburrant sorbet ftw even though i have not had any or even thought about it in years.

ledge, Tuesday, 28 July 2009 15:12 (fifteen years ago)

You forgot my current favorite, fudgsicles! Tried them recently and they're JUST as good as I remembered, unlike most other things loved during childhood. PLUS the package describes them as "QUIESCENTLY FROZEN DAIRY CONFECTIONS" which is about as amazing as it gets.

Like most people my age, I am 33 (Laurel), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 15:18 (fifteen years ago)

sorbet = sherbet in the US

naw, maybe like in 1963 but not in the swingin metrosexual 2000s

congratulations (n/a), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 15:44 (fifteen years ago)

sherbert is just fruit flavored ice cream.
sorbet is dairy free

mizzell, Tuesday, 28 July 2009 15:45 (fifteen years ago)

look, i thought about this quick and soft before i formed the poll, and decided i didn't want to get into the whole sorbet vs sherbet thing, and since they're both clearly not going to win, I lumped them together. Eat it.

hope this helps (Granny Dainger), Tuesday, 28 July 2009 15:46 (fifteen years ago)

i've decided not to vote in your poll.

mizzell, Tuesday, 28 July 2009 15:47 (fifteen years ago)

It does say the FDA considers sherbet and sorbet to be synonymous, and you know me, I always side with the FDA.

Frozen Custard por vida. Ice Cream's pretty good, but it doesn't have enough protein.

iiiijjjj, Tuesday, 28 July 2009 17:20 (fifteen years ago)

The literal translation of salepi dondurma is "fox testicle ice cream".[3]

haha fuck frozen yogurt

iatee, Wednesday, 29 July 2009 23:08 (fifteen years ago)

I can't ever remember a time when I was eating frozen yogurt and not wishing it was ice cream instead

iatee, Wednesday, 29 July 2009 23:09 (fifteen years ago)

I think more people on this thread need to give frozen custard a chance. I could totally go for a turtle sundae from Culver's right about now.

lindseykai, Wednesday, 29 July 2009 23:54 (fifteen years ago)

no jubilee no cred.
