so i got a little torn up last night and unlike most hangovers this one isn't going away. head still hurts and my stomach is still queasy despite dispensing enough diarrhea to fill the grand canyon
so like other than water and stuff what should i do to ensure i dont hurl on my girl while we are making out. i dont get drunk often so ive forgotte nwhat i used to do
― Elvin Wayburn Phillips, Wednesday, 29 July 2009 15:34 (fifteen years ago)
is the making out compulsory? i could write you a doctor's note

every time i kind of get fed up with your antics, elvin, i just remember all the crazy times you've been through and been so generous to share with us and it just puts a smile on my face :)

i heard that a snifter of champagne is apparently quite the thing.
― dog latin, Wednesday, 29 July 2009 15:38 (fifteen years ago)
anyway, Lemon and Ginger tea infusion.
(Was feeling like this this morn, so...)
― Mark G, Wednesday, 29 July 2009 15:40 (fifteen years ago)
think i may have the lemon bit, ginger might require me getting in the car, which kinda smells at the moment and may exacerbate things. thanks for the tip tho in case i find any around the house
― Elvin Wayburn Phillips, Wednesday, 29 July 2009 15:42 (fifteen years ago)
a big glass of fresh coke is pretty useful usually.and if you have no way to just spend the rest of the day/night in bed, drink again !
― AleXTC, Wednesday, 29 July 2009 15:46 (fifteen years ago)
yeah drink more. drink enough that the hangover goes away then stay at this level for as long as possible you'll be well horny and funny. in my life this is known as sunday. try not to eat anything.
― Crackle Box, Wednesday, 29 July 2009 15:53 (fifteen years ago)
I disagree with the not eating - it should be something bland and fatty. French fries, pancakes, waffles, etc.
I, for one, love spicy food for a hangover - calms the stomach and helps me sweat it out a bit.
― NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dude, yessssss! (B.L.A.M.), Wednesday, 29 July 2009 16:35 (fifteen years ago)
so eat something bland and spicy
― dim sum dude (s1ocki), Wednesday, 29 July 2009 16:36 (fifteen years ago)
Just vomit on her. If she really loves you she'll understand.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 29 July 2009 16:37 (fifteen years ago)
vomit something bland on her

I think a good way to cure a hangover is to read hangover cures.
HUNGOVER AND ON THE HORN....A THREAD.

Just go induce vomiting, you'll feel a lot better.

I got no body image issues at all but there are times when you are xtra nauseous that I just think throat-finger is really the most practical way to handle things.
Jemaine: Hey Bret do you remember that time after your mum's 60th birthday? How you got really drunk?Bret: Yeah.Jemaine: I think I heard you in the bathroom afterwards being a little bit bulimic.

lol well i dont really drink hard liquor much anymore, i used to abuse tanqueray w/ tonic like there was no tomorrow and got tired of the hangovers. became a beer man, but the bar i was at last night (where my girl goes weekly) wasn't really a beer place and i guess i forgot how to pace myself with the harder stuff.
that and my dinner was a banquet tv dinner.

Advice for your NEXT hangover. Drink plenty of water (until you really can't drink anymore) before going to bed.
― touch my bum / this is life (daavid), Wednesday, 29 July 2009 19:17 (fifteen years ago)
oh yea i know about that one, yet i'm a terrible follower of it. i started asking for a glass of water with each drink after i'd had about 3 or 4 but i was a little too late.
i could stand to drink more water in general in my life
― Elvin Wayburn Phillips, Wednesday, 29 July 2009 19:18 (fifteen years ago)
so i really hope she doesn't wanna have sex tonight. so like i am so tired due to not sleeping well i drank an energy drink. big mistake. been pumping pepto...i don't feel horrible but i ain't 100%. we have plans in a little over an hour lol.
― Elvin Wayburn Phillips, Wednesday, 29 July 2009 23:41 (fifteen years ago)
"Not tonight dear, I've got a bellyache" would be too direct?
― Beanbag the Gardener (WmC), Thursday, 30 July 2009 00:10 (fifteen years ago)
the use of "inadvertently" in this thread title is troubling me
― MOAR HUMOR THAN A HUMAN(E) (jjjusten), Thursday, 30 July 2009 00:54 (fifteen years ago)
given some of our recent struggles, I'd rather not disappoint her again. i'll leave it at that.
i feel sick now cuz i think i took too many drugs and should not have drank an energy drink.
