"Rock Steady" is great all the way through.

Sean, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I WANT YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING IN MY LIFE

Michael Bourke, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Discovery. I'm so obvious.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

"Rock Steady" is suck all the way through.

Dan I., Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Right on Dan I, not even Eve could save it

Menelaus Darcy, Monday, 10 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

But doesn't ELO have better records than Discovery?

Brian MacDonald, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Aretha wins. ;-)

Jeff W, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Reign in Blood! :)

jel --, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I would go for Discovery by a long chalk. Rock Steady is Hella Rub.

Pete, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Even the name pun Disco Very thing makes Discovery way better than the other two.

Ronan, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

let us lettuce

mike hanle y, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

If you give Gwen money, she will just buy more makeup.

Nicole, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

TARKUS! PH34R +H33 C1D3R ARMADYLLOH +ANG!

Daver, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Nicole: You are not making a very strong case against _Rock Steady_...

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

How about, "If you buy Rock Steady, you will give Gwen more money to buy those ugly get ups she wears?"

Ally, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Exactly. She looked good in the Eve video, but every where else she is but one step away from Aguilera hell.

Nicole, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That's probably the most entertaining thing about Christina Aguilera, though.

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

No no no Dan!

Courtney Love sez Christina sounds like LIZ FRASER on her new album. This I must hear.

Nicole, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

How about if you buy Rock Steady you'll give Gwen Stefani more licence to talk about how she's kind of uh like a girl who hangs out with guys.

Ronan, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Courtney Love sez Christina sounds like LIZ FRASER on her new album. This I must hear.

*BOGGLE* Okay, I have to hear that, too.

R: Gwen is a (tom)boy at heart. Is that so wrong?

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Being a tomboy=not wrong but classic.

Writing songs about it for years and talking about it incessantly=dud.

Ronan, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

All I know is that "One More Time" is the only track off of _Discovery_ that I've heard that I really want to hear again and _The Eminem Show_ is extremely underwhelming. Bah, I'm listening to "Satan" and don't have time for this.

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

*BOGGLE* Okay, I have to hear that, too.

Yeah, same here...but wasn't she trashing Christina a few months back? I suspect conspiracy. Maybe she meant Liz Fraser as heard on the 1994 tour -- tuneless, glurping and generally not happy.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

In Courtney's posting there was some Christina hate, but she also said that Linda Perry made Christina sing without doing scales and that it was fantastic, she sounds like Liz Frazer.

Mind you this is probably another crack addled Courtney rant, but I am still sorta intruiged.

Nicole, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Linda Perry????????

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

You hadn't heard? Ms. 4 Non Blondes has reinvented herself as the Diane Warren of the post-alt set, sadly enough -- hangs around with Courtney, writes for Pink and Christina, etc. Now you know who to blame "My Vietnam" on.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Even the name pun Disco Very thing makes Discovery way better than the other two.

Oh yeah! I never spotted that. Fancy that. Is Rock Steady a pun on Rocks Teddy maybe? What is Rock Steady anyway (apart from an Aretha song).

N., Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Rock Steady is a bit patchy. Has some good songs on it tho. Personally I'd go for Reign In Blood or The Eminem Show.

cuba libre (nathalie), Tuesday, 11 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Rocksteady = Jamaican popular music style that came between ska and reggae.
