I already made a team so whynot. Banking on Benty being a 25-goal striker, and Schwarzer never getting injured.

Is it a head to head league or a classic one? Maybe we should do both.

Might we do a (separate) no-trading / captain-changing one? I have enthusiasm right now, but it'll probably/definitely fade away when there's actual football to, y'know, follow.

(This one is also good if you know nothing about football and picked your team according to vague Liverpool Won't Win predictions that spurs will be good this season)

I think you probably have to have a squad, but you can just fill it with random players and change them around at no cost before the season's started.

Eg my current midfield is James Milner, Martin Petrov, Matt Taylor and Niko Kranjcar

I've now changed my team name for the first time and my kit for the third. Nine days to go...

I am also in! And already starting to regret the name of my team. Really need to think of that sort of thing more in advance and write it down somewhere, whenever the moment comes I can only think of terrible things.

pretty pleased with my -1 points for this week.

Quite annoyed at getting knocked out of the 'cup' last week when there were only three matches (I think I got beaten 13-12 or some similar low-scoring nonsense). I'm still in with a shout for the ILX championship, but currently battling Pete W for the lesser champions league placings.

Quite annoyed that I still haven't remembered to put Cesc back in my starting eleven.

Pretty annoyed that my star man gets crocked on a weekly basis. Torres last week, now Clint.

just having a look through the no-changes results I appear to be a serious bogey side for Ismael. In our five matchups I've won four and we've drawn once, with my wins including an 84-76 and a 22-21. Sorry.

I might live to regret this, but I've sold the misfiring Arshavin (despite the fact that he's about to play Liverpool, who he famously scored four goals against last Spring) and replaced him with New God Nani (who I'm desperately hoping doesn't revert to type).

Ah, I didn't know you could view the week-by-weeks xp. Not enjoyable viewing - I've had four defeats by three points or less (plus two draws) out of 25 games. These things even themselves out over the course of the season, I'm telling myself.

I had a disastrous gameweek the one before this one, and this week was looking even worse (after the weekend I only had two players who'd actually played), but a Darren Bent captain's hat-trick looks to have saved me.

Roar! Thanks to Drogba, Malouda and Cahill's exploits last night I picked up an astonishing 116 points from this gameweek. Would have been 123 if I hadn't dropped Fletcher to the bench for Diaby. I'm up into second, but first is still looking a bit distant.

valencia let me down- if he'd only had the decency to be injured or refuse to play, then jamie o'hara would have picked me up 12 points.

milner and young cost me too this gameweek, but in the circumstances it would be somewhat churlish to complain.

Back to the land of narrow defeats after a brief sojourn in the land of spawny victories. Midweek games never seem to work out in my favour.

Bloody hell, up to 3rd, wasn't expecting that esp after I picked Rooney for 0 points

I seem to have been sabotaging my own team in recent weeks with my masterful transfer strategy that ensures I have any combination of Rooney, Drogba, Torres, Tevez and Anelka that minimizes my score due to non-appearance / not a sniff of a goal.

It's all over. I am Arsenal, always the bridesmaid, never the bride, comfortably ahead of the ghost of Passantino but still falling well behind the actual silverware.

I have strolled to victory in the no-changes league, YA DANCER. The big league is mine for the taking next year, when I remember to enter a team I'm allowed to change.

All in the fullness of time. I can't face even thinking about the Premier League right now. I'm footballed out. I'd rather they delayed the start of the season until October.

I have so much trouble keeping up with one team, that's probably a blessing if true!
