It's not even that the 'joke'/s are bad (they are, but that's not it) , it's that that's the worst stand-up delivery I've ever seen!

Haha, actually it's just some guy on the current C4 comedy sponser idents. Probably not worth getting worked up about, but he really is supernaturally irritating, way more so than Carr.

is this the "t-mobile sponsors new comedy" dick with the "now i've got internet on my phone people think i have a huge intellect - and a tiny bladder" spiel? I genuinely cannot parse those ads, I keep thinking: is it meant to be an ironic comment on terrible observational comedy? or is this meant to actually be funny?

a small part of me thought this was supposed to be completely awful and unfunny and that that, somehow, in itself was supposed to be funny. i mean i know that makes little enough sense but it was the only way i could justify it. i'm assured, however, that i'm wrong and they're just as bad as i think they are... and i think they're amongst the very worst things i have ever seen.

That's what I thought at first too. Like an alt-comedy version of Gilbert Gottfried's "I got into a car yesterday and it talked to me! What's THAT all about? I love ya New York!"

these idents, like the big brother ones are supposed to be annoying and slightly confusing so viewers talk about them and spread teh memes. they're not actually supposed to be funny or mean anything. it works!
