i do one half at a time, usually the side with less cream first. unless i'm dunking, in which case i can dunk like three at a time. omg heaven.

i'm really sorry
Going to the vending machine to get some now and I will eat them whole in two bites.
― carne asada, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 19:49 (sixteen years ago)
Remove the creamless side from one cookie and eat it. Do the same with another one. Then press the two creamy sides together, and you have a double cream Oreo! This is my favourite.

― Sunny River, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 19:54 (sixteen years ago)
wasn't allowed to eat oreos as a kid. too old now.
― Ømår Littel (Jordan), Wednesday, 12 August 2009 19:56 (sixteen years ago)
I remember as a kid removing the cream from a bunch of oreos and makind a quadruple or quintuple cream oreo. I also remember once putting the creamy side on top of another oreo to create a sort of oreo big mac.
These days I just eat them the same as any other cookie. I think they're actually better that way.

my mom used to buy Hydrox cuz they were cheaper.
― carne asada, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 20:11 (sixteen years ago)
Dunk them until the bubbles stop, effectively drowning the cookie, then eat it.
― kate78, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 20:30 (sixteen years ago)
I don't eat this fucking crap

― dat conehead beldar (Whiney G. Weingarten), Wednesday, 12 August 2009 21:05 (sixteen years ago)
I just eat the cream and throw away the cookie.

used to twist, lick all the cream off, then eat the cookie parts. more likely to just eat them "straight" these days
i have also been known to MICROWAVE them for about five-ten seconds so they get a little warm
― The Collected Works of Fun Fun (donna rouge), Wednesday, 12 August 2009 21:47 (sixteen years ago)
I've only eaten them once. Saw them in a supermarket while looking for something else, suddenly noticed the packaging said Nabisco and I just had to check that out (so if ILX's Nabisco is sponsored by the company: it's working!).
Unfortunately, I didn't find them all that OTM. Not bad, but nothing that would explain their near-mythical status.
― StanM, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 21:51 (sixteen years ago)
I actually like them. They're far more "dark chocolate" tasting than I thought they would be. They could almost be passed off in a packet of fancy Belgian biscuits.

I used to do this with bourbon biscuits when I was a kid. Now I just eat all biscuits straight.

(Please don't ban me for my previous post, I'm only European and untrained in the appreciation of these American delicacies - like, I know every human being must eat at White Castle, Denny's and IHop at least once before they die, but I haven't yet so I'm still unsure how to handle mentions of these institutions)
― StanM, Wednesday, 12 August 2009 21:57 (sixteen years ago)
i did have them covered in fancy dark chocolate once, that was good. it didn't have anything on the 'peanut butter between two ritz crackers, covered in dark chocolate' ones though.
― Ømår Littel (Jordan), Wednesday, 12 August 2009 22:00 (sixteen years ago)
Chew a Ferro Rocher and mash the resultant paste between two Oreos...

whoa @ PB + ritz + dark choc

yeah true - only been eating them now and then for the last few years and if i don't have one for ages i'm always surprised by the taste of the biscuit (richer and more comforting than expected). sounds stupid i know.

Oreo is in the news bigly in the Low countries because of this:https://newsbeezer.com/netherlandseng/oreo-cookies-turn-black-thanks-to-large-amounts-of-polluting-ammonia-instagram/
I guess these plans didn't go through in 2013, then?https://www.confectionerynews.com/Article/2013/09/09/Mondelez-cocoa-powder-production-for-Oreos

Cocoa factory Olam in Koog aan de Zaan in North Holland has been mixing large amounts of toxic ammonia with ground cocoa beans for years to blacken the famous Oreo cookies. The factory kept this a secret for years, even though the government knew about it.
