The event is a reading by Benjamin Kunkel at Hammer Museum by UCLA. Come on - I know you want to meet him. Shall I bring my book to be signed or will I lose my nerve at the last minute and have only extra luggage to lug around?

Maybe you'll be there for Catwalk (myspace.com/catwalkca), one of my favorite bands this year, who are playing on August 21 and 29. I'll just miss both shows.
Another destination is C'est Si Bon Patisserie by UCLA where David Lewis apparently wrote Convention in the 1960s if it is still around. Does anyone know?
